I am fine listening to Narcos, I just thought the only real pull for me was Moura and the rest of the show around him was mediocre.
HBO isn't even an option in Germany.
For whatever reason they signed an exclusive deal with Sky Germany to show their stuff. Sky is by far the worst with their shitty apps, customer service etc. So no chance.
I rather buy the Blu-Rays of things I actually dig than giving Sky my money. Same applies to Disney.

HBO Max only exists in the US, there's no HBO streaming service in the UK because Sky owns the rights to most of HBO's stuff.
In March 2021, WarnerMedia confirmed that HBO Max would not launch in the UK, Germany and Italy before 2025 due to the aforementioned deal for HBO programming with Sky Group.Just looked it up on wiki. I really don't think people will stomach much more streaming sites. I dread the inevitable of Star Trek being taken off Netflix to go on some CBS site.

I think in the future I'm going to do more singular months on specific services. Think very few of them are worth constantly being subscribed. I definitely can't imagine being subscribed to Prime Video if it weren't for Prime. I can imagine dropping off Disney except a couple times a year too, the back catalogue just hasn't captured me.

DDL and Affleck were great. Phoenix, Firth and DiCaprio were all fine but should have won for other roles. McConaughey was good but nothing special. Dujardin was fine but whatever. Malek and Oldman were absolute jokes. Haven’t seen Redmayne.

Looking at the list of nominations, there doesn't seem to be any real snubs, just looks like a pretty mediocre decade for great performances. Phoenix winning for the Joker is the only won where I can really say he was worse than several other nominees, though a lot of stuff that I've not seen.
