By Cleff Go To PostLooks like Guardians of the Galaxy to me.I never saw the second one. I'll watch this thing on HBO Max.
By LabouredPatriot Go To PostWait, is Nobody really releasing cinema only?Title also refers to who is going to watch it on theaters.
But I had made... plans. Won't they think of a humble horse that was seeking to watch this movie at home at a heavily discounted price?
By Apollo Go To PostNobody but like 20 twitter film nerds were going to see it anyways. They should just put it on VOD
Why I’m amazed at the decision.
Speaking of movies that no one was going to watch, I saw The Empty Man because of Chris Struckmann's video saying it deserved to be a cult classic.
I don't agree at all, the movie has quite a few flaws but I enjoyed it.
It's definitely a divisive movie and I know quite a few are not going to like it but there's some good things about it.
Thought it was extremely well shot and to have a 20 minute prologue before showing the title card was ambitious (and probably the best part of the movie).

Yeah just watched that yesterday. It was ok. Agree with your overall assessment. It has moments but never really lands it. Didn’t love the lead. Stephen Root is amazing in his 5 minutes, as always.
I'm definitely going to keep an eye on David Prior, hopefully he will get another chance to direct a movie.
There's potential there, he worked a lot with Fincher on DVD features of his movies and picked up a few things, some shots were very Fincher like.

Had True Detective S1 vibes at times but without the stellar performances. Still want a cosmic horror that goes balls out. Wish Del Toro could do his Mountains of Madness.
I rewatched Baby Driver, first time since the cinema, and I still enjoy the film, it's very energetic and the action scenes are great fun. The script and characterisation are basically bare-bones tho, there's not much depth to it at all, but it's still an enjoyable 2 hours.
Hot Fuzz is still my favourite Edgar Wright film.

Yes Dean. Hot Fuzz (for me) has that high replay value. I can always put it on when I'm bored or just have it on in the background.
I watched "The F Word". Meh.

By Zabojnik Go To PostIndeed. Rewatched it a couple of weeks ago. Sad Mann's probably done with film.
Got a Ferrari bio coming out I think
Lived dangerously and went to a movie theater last night. Saw The Courier and I thought it was great, but I'm a sucker for spy thrillers. Shame it was basically sent to die by only being released in theaters.

That Audioslave scene tho...
By n8 dogg Go To PostRewatched Collateral last night. What a flick ladsare you doing a tom cruise retrospective?
By DiPro Go To Postare you doing a tom cruise retrospective?
Just coincidentally, yes
Watched Palm Springs the other night, the one with Andy Samberg in. Really liked it, would probably even watch it again and I'm not really into romcoms. It's just all very nice... even if the characters do some pretty shitty things.
JK Simmons is in an awful lot of stuff I've watched/played over the last few months. I'm SWIMMING in JK Simmons.

By reilo Go To PostWait, which one is the legacy one and which one is the one from the affair?Legacy = William
Affair = 'arry
By bud Go To Postslaent lads, what movies do you own on uhd?Ghost in The Shell (1995) and 2001: A Space Odyssey
those seem like great choices. i don't think i've ever seen ghost in its entirety...
was thinking about gemini man (for the 60fps goodness), and interstellar and ad astra for my sci-fi fix.
the revenant is only 12 bucks over here, too. which is very cheap. and it's supposed to be a great transfer.

Affleck as Batman is just so wrong.
Must be the lamest Batman ever
Batman feels so out of place in Justice League, like he's a toddler playing with the big kids. I think that's on Snyder.

By Elchele Go To PostAffleck as Batman is just so wrong. He's also clearly not giving any fucks. He seems 40 pounds overweight whenever I see him fight and the suit isn't helping either.
