By DiPro Go To Postaren't they usually good for superhero shit because they invite guys from comicbooksaremylife.com etc.?
much more willing to dunk on the kong.
:lol
I agree DOR is trash dog but his casts and performances are always good. Maybe the only time I liked Jennifer Lawrence was in American Hustle. Cooper and Bale great too, even if the film was a fucking bore.
lawrence was very good in her break-out film winter's bone.
was blown away that a 17 year old could act that well.

Then she took that Fox money and phoned in a decades worth of performances in X-Men.
More power to her.

By domino Go To PostShe was good in Mother
Yeah she was decent in that. Really enjoyed that film. Mad shit.
By Lupercal Go To PostYeah of course, miles beyond Seagal.
But I grade my action stars on a bigger curve I guess.
Seagal's first 5 movies are still great.
Van Damme late 80s to early 90s was also awesome and he has some decent ones later on.
Seagal's best is nowhere near as good as Double Impact

Just watched FotR for the first time in a while
That first 90 mins (extended edition) before they leave Bree might be my favourite stretch of any film. It'd sound a bit dull if you just read a synopsis of it, but it's wonderfully paced, shot, acted, set and costume design is brilliant. Seamless transitions between The Shire just being a lovely place to be and the darkness of Mordor, and Gandalf's own personal mix of integrity, warmth and power. Ian McKellen is just a perfect bit of casting.
Blows my mind that they gave something of a no-name director at the time such a budget to film all three consecutively, and I'm not sure anybody could have done it better.
The trickery used in scaling the hobbits still works, especially in Bag End. The illusion doesn't break at any point.

That is legit a haram statement. It has to be. How can you hate on an epic but short battle and the gleeful innocence of the Shire? Just how??

But anyway they shoulda let Gunn write and Michael Bay direct. Gone full trashy and unbridled stupid action to make it at least look interesting.
