The OG Buffy.
Refuse to believe anyone is legitimately suggesting a FOUR HOUR Zack Synder superhero movie is anything other than terrible. Cheers.
By DiPro Go To Postthat's kristy swanson the OG buffyLuke Perry still hurts
Perry suffered a massive ischemic stroke at his home in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles on February 27, 2019. After a second stroke, his family decided to remove him from life support,[49] and he died on March 4, 2019 at age 52.[54] He was buried at the Perry Family Farm in Vanleer, Tennessee, where he lived since 1995, and was buried in an eco-friendly mushroom burial suit designed to remove polluting toxins from the body while naturally breaking it down
i'm glad the wiki editor thought it was necessary to inform us how his body is breaking down.

Snyder has already said the Whedon cut is canon going forward. The Snyder Cut exists just to be a project to get people into HBO Max.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Zack Snyder. His story telling is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Batman's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these stories, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Zack Snyder truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Snyders's existential catchphrase "We live in a society" which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Zack's genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂
And yes, by the way, i DO have a Batman v Superman tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid 😎
Snyder cut was pretty damn good overall. Definitely the best DC joint so far
I'd rather see the rest of what he had planned than whatever else WB has cooked up.

Snyder Cut
Never watched the OG release:
-Surprised at how OP Cyborg is. Made Batman irrelevant. He was the brain and the brawn. Way more screentime than I expected and the only empathetic role. Ugly, ugly design tho.
-Favorite parts of the movie were Aquaman's scenes. capeshit actors rarely have charisma but Mamoa's got it in spades. Is his solo movie any good?
-WW was forgettable and Aflek was really phoning it in lol. Flash was annoying. Ezra Miller doing way too much.
-The amount of slomo bordered on parody, the number of 'Iconic Hero group shot' was just....cmon breh lol. The end shot made me roll my eyes.
-I'm wondering where did Snyder find the restraint during Man of Steele? The action works because of how quick and impactful it is:
-Anyone else think the action scenes were filmed too close? Needed more wide shots( i don't know if that's the term).
-All that being said, the fight near the end against all the minions was pretty sick. Aquaman was surfing on corpses and Cyborg was leveling buildings ezpz :O
-Superman was beating steppen wolf's ass lmaaaaaoooo. Had the team shook. Also, is there some reason for the Black suit? Would have liked to see more of him even though I'm not a big Cavil fan.
-Steppenwolf looked better in the Whedon cut imo.
-I'm cool with this movie not being canon only for never having to see Leto's Joker and Jesse Eisenberg's Luthor again.
Overall, it was aight, I doubt I'll want to rewatch anything from it. Man of Steel is still Snyder's best DC flick. Better than any MCU movie though.
Good fucking luck to any studio trying to edit Snyder's vision after this lol. Expecting Army of the Dead to be 90% slomo music videos.

I think these big team up comic movies would work better against a sinister 6 set of villains instead of Big Bad + Jobber army.
A few critics I know have already seen Army of the Dead (well not the final cut) and said it's good. He goes HAM in a few scenes and doesn't really take himself serious. From my understanding it really is Ocean 11's meets Romero’s dead movies
Looking like Snyder's first fresh rating since Watchmen
I snuck into a theater to watch that movie a month before I turned 17 and was pretty disappointed. I still don't think I can watch Justice League by myself for four hours

Aquaman rules. It's basically a vehicle for Wan action scenes and Momoa cracking jokes and that's just fine.
Aquaman had no right to be as good as it was. Seriously. I was joking before seeing it that we'd be getting a big climatic end battle sequence with big ass crabs and people riding seehorses and sharks with head mounted laser and shit. And that's exactly what happens and yeah it's ridiculous but it kinda works.
Snyder's JL is quite quite good. Is it the greatest thing of all time? No, but it's far better than anyone that had high hopes for it could have imagined. It's Snyder unfiltered and that might seem like it can only go wrong, but in fact, it goes the opposite direction.
Why? It's seamless, cohesive, detailed, and it follows a plot that provides clear character motivations to some very satisfying action scenes that look night and day better than the theatrical version.
Which is why Whedon is a fuck. All of the changes he made to Cyborg's plot are completely dumbfounding and can only lead to the conclusion that either he is a dumb person, or the more plausible scenario that fits the accusation that he's just a giant jackass.
Cyborg's entire plot revolves around him becoming who he is because his father used a mother box to save him, which leads to the motivation to revive Superman the same way but opens up Steppenwolf being able to find the third box, but Superman is the key to defeating him, etc etc. It's surprisingly simple but it works, and in contrast with the original? They bring back Superman because Batman and Wonder Woman conclude they can't lead the team and need Supes to do it. Whedon did all that just to cut Cyborg's plot. Amazing.
A bunch of smaller things were added back in which also tie into Aquaman's solo movie that didn't in the original. There's also an entire introduction to Darkseid that makes a lot more sense here than what they did originally.
Also, I was always of the opinion that Snyder was a superbly good technically talented director -- all of the faults lying in bad stories and plot motivations which this movie really doesn't have. This movie is very pretty and the cinematography is great.
Anyway, Snyder's Justice League is better than most MCU movies but that's not exactly a high bar imo. Either way, there's vindication to those who wanted to see this cut.

he's both
Totally. Ray Fisher deserves better.
This movie was completely fucked by the producers and Whedon and they ruined a good young black actor's career. WB really needs to rectify this.
Also, it wasn't just Cyborg. They took out ALL of the diversity in this one. There were many more minority characters that had appearances that were just cut that actually added to the plot in important ways.

So what's going to come of this? Cause HBO's internal numbers gotta be through the roof, the movie is trending on Twitter with overwhelmingly positive feedback. I hated JL, but thoroughly enjoyed Zach's version, the 4 hours flew by. You could probably make mini series out of the Synderverse just for HBO max.
How anyone could cut that flash scene is beyond me, but then again they had a layup setting up the stage for an Asian superhero and were like "Nahhhhhh we good" so making smart decisions aint their thing.

Flash's final scene was fucking gorgeous. Snyder nailed it.
Ray Fisher's plot was cut
Ryan Choi, completely cut
Wonder Woman is only second to Superman in this and almost handles Steppenwolf solo, but was neutered in Whedon's
Were there any black Amazonian's in Whedon's version? I want to say he got rid of them, too
Martian Manhunter cameo, played by a black actor, cut
