I miss Cinemas...
Its hard having 100% full concentration on a movie when I am at home, but the big screen in Cinema always have my attention!
I honestly had to watch Soul 3 separate times, because I can't go through a movie in 1 siting.

outside of the dark room - turn off your phone environment - concentration it turns out can be really fucking hard.
Both Jack Reacher films are shocking. I watched the first one again recently and couldn't stop thinking that action movie favourite McQuarrie was the director - it's just by the numbers. Another big problem is Tom Cruise is so badly miscast, he's not a badass anti-hero.

Second film is a total pile of shite
By Pedja Go To PostI don't think casting someone bigger would have made the shit lines sound any better.Size doesn't matter. Shit lines could've worked with some other actors, idk Nicolas Cage or Vin Diesel. Someone who could've lent into the shiteness.

The Jack Reacher books were the only 'mature' books in my school library so I had read a ton of them. What I will say is that the movies toned down the male fantasy aspect of them. Almost a parody of the action genre.
I liked the whole 70s feel of the first Jack Reacher, not seen the 2nd one tho.
Run (2020) was pretty silly but I was entertained by Paulson’s performance in it.

By Pedja Go To PostIt's/They're great
Rosamund Pike’s Tits (It’s/They’re)
If you treat it as a Jack Reacher film it's a bland film but if you treat it as a Rosamund Pike's tits film with a Tom Cruise cameo it's great.
By Daz Go To Postme tooYeah, I tried turning my phone off. But sitting down and give the movie my outmost concentration is really hard. I tend to get up, do other things and getting back to the movie is hard as hell.

I honestly don't know what it is, but in cinemas, once i am sat thats it, I am glued to the movie!
Sound of Metal is pretty damn good. Good acting and use of sound and the lack thereof. Also a nice bit of casting with Mathieu Amalric from The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, which you should also see if you haven't already. Both tackle similar circumstances in different manners.

exactly the same here, doesn't help when you have kids and a wife.
there is always a question, a phone call, "did i reply to that email?", a cat, i could grab a snack or something to do that takes you out.
but in the movie you are social pressured to shut up and just watch and it's great.

What happened?
Would be a good way to introduce the X-Men as well. They're already established in the Deadpool movies. Only problem would be explaining why they were absent during the Infinity War.
My X-Men are done and dusted.
Deadpool/X-Force can continue to be it's own thing now as it should be. Also, is anyone counting how many times an r-rating has been confirmed? seems to happen every 6 months.
In years time Disney can make and X-Men movie and I'll check that out.

gal was never a good actor but my god is she awful in this
By Not Go To PostIf you think they're not going to recast the X-Men uhhhhhhhIt's Deadpool so it doesn't really matter. Just have him make a breaking the 4th wall joke about the recasting of X-Men characters and away you go.
On the news of Deadpool 3 remining R rated, I decided to rewatch Deadpool 1 and 2
and surprisingly remain as funny as my first time watching them, maybe even more so , since I kind of know whats happening.
Brad Pitt cameo as the Vanisher and his death remains as funny as ever along with the other deaths. Peter is my man!
Love all the characters, man, who thought a Deadpool movie would have awesome ensemble of lovable characters. Deadpool himself, Colossus, Negasonic, Domino, Yukio, Dopinder, Cable, even Weasel and the blind lady are all lovable goofs.

By Laboured Go To PostHave they considered what this might do to all of those suffering from Morbius Mania?I first read that like it had been moved for October of next year.
No big surprise in this change, the world will still be on a pretty bad state in two months and the movie was originally set for October of last year, if I remember it well.
Sony are probably going to link a more dark, horror like comic book movie with October, it's a good bet.
