Netflix are really banking on this being a hit. They already shot a prequel based on one of the characters and are doing an anime prequel.

What happens when the Russo's aren't under the tight control of Marvel and don't have a computer that tells them how they are going to shot every scene.
After Extraction I thought they were on the track for personal success.
Better get back to the warm, controlling arms of Disney.

The man shot the hell out of those actions scenes, many times being him holding the camera up and close to the action.
There's a scene where he is filming on top of a hood of a car and the car that crashes came mere centimetres from his foot.

Just watched Four Lions
What a film. Riz Ahmed is such a good actor. Wasn't expecting it to be as tense as it is.

Was watching Iron Man (2008) and Rhodey referred to Tony Stark as a man, and that, my friends, is what we call foreshadowing.

Saw two movies last night, one an obvious rewatch:
HBO Max has Police Story and the restoration is pretty good. Audio is still very 80s but if you've never seen it it holds up well. Brigitte Lin AND Maggie Cheung? Jackie you dog.
Police Story slum chase > Bad Boys 2 slum chase.
Slowly making my way through more WKW movies and caught Ashes of Time Redux. Not my favorite of his but it comes full circle very nicely. In classic WKW fashion, it has some gorgeous shots. The restoration was clearly problematic so it doesn't look as good as his others.

By reilo Go To PostSaw two movies last night, one an obvious rewatch:Police Story 1 is probably my all time favorite movie. I feel like Jackie's character becomes more one dimensional in the sequels? Like he's a little bit of an asshole in the first movie. I love the scene where he's answering phones.

Marvel is good mindless fun for 30-150 minutes but not much more than that. I’m just growing increasingly bored at Marvels way of telling stories and character development. It doesn’t really leave anything up for discussion. Everything has to be spelled out and not much is up for interpretation.
I’m excited for a black Superman, but a black Clark Kent? Can we not? Is this wrong to say and am I being a douche?
