Will hopefully watch the sequel tomorrow with my nephews

It's a genuine classic.
Sitting through children's crap like Peter Rabbit only makes me think of it all the more fondly.

Don’t look up like other long ass movies needed to be edited to be under 2 hours, even an hour and half would’ve been enough
I liked it and it’s pretty much what’s happening now so yeah buckle up

Carnage was terrible...mostly due to Woody being miscast and Carnage just being terribly wasted. Venom and Tom were fine, but there wasn't any meat outside of that. Actually had me missing Riz Ahmed, who at least brought energy as a villain.
Saw Bond--great send off for Craig. I really wouldn't want to try to replicate the grown man, modern serious take his arc had so soon. He was just too good at rugged Bond. You've gotta come at the followup with a different energy.

so i always thought boogie nights was called boogey nights, and was a horror film. i might have been slightly wrong on that one. that was really good fun, makes me want to watch red rocket even more.
i was crying about this on a facebook page, and a random guy from bangladesh sent me a link, after i had been unable to find it myself lmao. full on lad. going to watch tonight i think.

I think Dipro said he saw it too.
If you like it, definitely watch Oslo, August 31.
Why is the trailer quality so putrid eventhough WB uploaded it themselves smh
I do appreciate them being back in NYC

Learning from IGN.
They fucked up the last trailer too, looked like absolute 144p dirt. What if this fucker was filmed on a Nokia?
There were so many things I loved about The Batman trailer, but the element that really got me was how courageously Reeves - famously an absolute innovator of film aesthetics - deliberately chose an anti-aesthetic with this absolute potato quality, to critique the modern world super hero films, and maybe even Nolan. and then he goes and has the characters explain that choice. 'You arent available' is a direct hit at all the big directors now doing super hero films, and 'you could be doing more'. This is a clear sign.
Bravo. and goodbye Nolan, finally a batman film that isnt all about time.

Still looks rough, but for other reasons.
It looks pretty tho. I like the theme in the previous trailer more.
I like the shots from above a lot. But kind of sleep with these trailers mostly of the same shots as previous trailers.
Watched Meek's Cutoff earlier. Boring. I like my westerns to have a guy in a white hat and a guy in a black hat, not whatever that was.
Full credit for being in 'academy ratio'.

Adding you to the list
Spiderman was kind of bad, Scorsese was right. Thank god I didnt bother going out for this, someone streamed the whole thing on Twitch lol.
Someone streaming a cam version of a film through twitch. Doesn't get more bootleg than that, respect.
I remember paying a couple quid for a VHS of the OG Spiderman when it first cMe out from a lad at school.
with how divisive dont look up is, I had to see it.
after 30 min, I thought it really felt like a film written by sam and dan houser, and greenlit by AJ from Sopranos when he was at his most whiny stage. it didnt get better.
look how the pop star is dumb as fuck. look how the president doesnt give a fuck about anything other than the election. did you see the guy with the mobile phone and the stuff about the algorithm? yeah, wow, apple got shit on! look at how social media controls everything, lets show the interactions and hashtags go up! man, our society is fucked up. i finally understand after watching this. ended up watching in 1.5 speed after a bit here.
it was bad. quite bad. maybe not spiral bad, but somehow felt more offensively dumb. it fights with shadow in the clouds and Mortal Kombat
for the second spot, on my worst films this year. i really did not expect it to bed that bad, with the budgets and actors and all behind it.

the matrix resurrections is not entirely bad. the first hour at least was good, i felt. kinda of turns into 28 days later in its last act--which was a bit weird. but overall, it was... okay.
i think its biggest issue is the casting. not that it would've set the world on fire otherwise, but neil patrick harris is so fucking bad, and brings down every scene he's in. dude shouldn't be allowed to do anything outside of the himym-verse. groff was less offensive, but still miscast.

The worst person in the world was good, pb. Very good. Absolutely hated that narrator voice that randomly appeared sometimes. But Julie is total waifu, and that Eivind guy is way too big a dork for her.
Also who the fuck do shrooms randomly like that. Fun scene and all. But surely randomly taking shrooms at a party is stuff teens do.
But really good. Among my favorites this year. I don't know why i thought it was Swedish, but nice surprise to see it was Oslo. I lived there for a years time, so was a nice revisit
Red rocket is out i see. Am i really going to watch 3 films in a day? NEET life is not that bad.
Edit: Actually I wont. The quality on this release is shocking

Matrix was shit. I agree with bud that NPH was a woeful bit of casting, just truly awful in every single scene. Do not agree that the first hour was "good" though because none of it was. Admittedly there were a few times my dick tingled in anticipation then the execution was just so poor. Final third or so was an absolute bore.
I think my initial reaction when it was announced was an eyeroll emoji on the ol' Twitter. Having now seen it all, I'll stick with it.

Didn't enjoy Don't Look Up. Not sure what the dead kids or the dwarf or Donald Sutherland having sex had to do about climate change.

Are you a fan of Kermode n8?
He’s one of the few film critics that I follow, despite sometimes getting to the end of the review and not knowing whether he actually liked it or not :lol

Yeah I like him. Think Bradshaw at the Guardian is shit. His reviews are mostly summaries and then one line of opinion at the end.
My favourite critic to read is Walter Chaw, despite disagreeing with him around 70% of the time
Heard Walter Chaw on the filmcast (great podcast) and was quite impressed.
Really despise movie reviews that are basically summaries - it offers absolutely nothing, and is kind of cowardly.
