By LeonidDikapriovLung Go To PostI just leech off my family's subs to all these services. Wish they would get spotify family though and disney plus…. Cant believe fucking Disney stole Always Sunny here. They own Always Sunny since they bought Fox.

Spider-Man should hit 1B$ by Sunday. 92% of last weekend's US box office came from No Way Home, probably the most dominant performance by a movie at the box office, even more incredible since it was the second weekend of a Spielberg movie and the opening weekend of a Del Toro movie.
By LeonidDikapriovLung Go To PostOf course people do, it's easy and often more convenient than actually subscribing (the amount of people who cant watch hbo anymore, after the switch from Nordic to Max here is hilarious, and I doubt they even have the service in the jungle where Elsk is from). Especially with a film released during a lot of countries lockdowns.HBOMax launched in LATAM like one month after its release in the US but this 24hs-limited premieres are US-locked
God bless the distros
I'm suscribed to HBOMax, Disney+ and leeching on my grandma's Netflix account.
I am 100% in on this new Resident Evil film series... if it does get sequels. That mid credit scene was sensational.
Some terrible decisions though. Lisa Trevor wtf mens.
Shit acting, shit dialogue, shit digital effects but it's my favourite shit film in quite a while. But I do love Resident Evil. If I didn't it was just be a very, very shit action/horror film.

Really hated Matrix on so many levels -this movie should not exist
there was no story worth telling. Action shit, acting shit. Everything.

By Frustrated_me Go To PostDune MOTY for me, by far one of the best this year.
Yeah same. I watched a lot of fantastic films this year, but they have mostly been older ones. Titane and The Green Knight also very cool though. Hopefully liquorice pizza and cmon cmon are on distros soon, cause both also seems like potential candidates for me. But then I also thought Pig would be, and that was a little disappointing in the end.
Worst film has to go to Spiral: From the Book of Saw, nothing even comes close. Quite possibly the worst film ive ever seen.
Spiral was Chris Rock doing standup in a tv horror movie, was so bad.
Dune best movie I've seen in a while.

I have seen so little this year. The good ones:
Nobody
Dune
Malignant
Green Knight
Tick tick boom
Mitchells v Machines
Harder they fall

I enjoyed The French Dispatch. I had a mixed experience with Dune. I wanted to see the Green Knight but didn't. I might watch the M4trix. I don't know that I saw any other 2021 films.
Waiting for Dispatch to hit one of the streamers. Will probs see Matrix next or Power of the Dog after xmas
I've seen 14 films released in 2021.
Worst was probably Army of the Dead. Or Mortal Kombat. I can't choose, they are probably equally shit.
Best was Dune. Though I did not love it.
Most surprising was Benedetta lmao. Grown on me the last few days.

I only saw Dune this year - will see spider and M4trix next.
Fuck my work and my manager for catching Covid and denying me my well-earned leave.

Yeah Benedetta was also really fun and weird. Probably my #4 of the year.
By LFMartins86 Go To PostThey own Always Sunny since they bought Fox.makes sense. it was up on viaplay until like a few weeks go here, guess their contract finally ran out. sad
I enjoyed maybe 5 or 6 films from this year, still need to check out a few more too
Enjoyed:
Spider-Man No Way Home
West Side Story
Dune
Many Saints of Newark
Malignant
The harder they fall

Didn't watch too many films this year (went to the cinema 22 times, poor numbers but I've basically stopped watching films at home).
Best 2021 film: definitely Titane. Dune and the Father the runners up.
Best oldie I watched: Lift to the Scaffolds, then Le Cercle Rouge.
Best docu I watched: Wrestling with Shadows

Wasnt the Father 2020? If that counts towards 2021 then it wins for me. Such a fantastic film. I cri every time

By Daz Go To PostIs Benedetta the one with the lesbian nuns?It is, why do you think it "grows" on Hixx the more he thinks about it?
By Andrew Go To Postyen please tell me why you liked the new matrixIt was fun. Decent reboot while also pastiching reboots.
I need to understand
By Daz Go To PostIs Benedetta the one with the lesbian nuns?lesbian nuns? not uncommon. attractive lesbian nuns? sci fi
Not even wanting to debate story decisions or whatever, the filmmaking in Matrix is atrocious. And the tone, it’s one puff away from being Bill and Ted go to Mars.

Ah alright. Yeah I am used to getting things fucking months after the US and UK, so never sure. Beautiful film though.

Oh yeah it is.
I recently finished Dune book 1, for anyone that enjoyed the movie you'll love the book.
Ordered book 2.

By reilo Go To PostWtf is YT asking for a Captcha on mobileVPN?
EDIT: that was weird
Hmmm maybe picking up the settings in your router or left over settings from a previous connection to YouTube when you were running the VPN
