john in particular was a dick in this bit at least:
also, yoko...
i'd be so weirded out by her being there the entire time. i guess john was so in love with her he needed her there at all times or whatever, but it must've been a bit odd for the other lads.

Knowing almost nothing about the Beatles, my impression was that Paul was the only one still passionate about the band, John was just there for Paul's sake, Ringo was there for a paycheck and George was ready to put out his solo shit
This is just going by their facial impressions. It's weird because I always hear about John and Paul being the conflict but in the documentary it really feels like Paul vs George

Paul too much of a micro manager for people with the egos and creativity of John and George to deal with forever
By n8 dogg Go To PostJohn was always a prickcan u blame him m8 he had to grow up in Britain
The documentary definitely felt less like everyone was at each other's throats like the original movie presented but it did show that the whole idea behind it, to make an entire album live in about 2 months, was always gonna be a failure.
John was high on heroin most of the start and completely unmotivated, George hated playing live and all his songs were kind of ignored by the rest, and Ringo just vibed as always. Think the problem especially was John not pulling rank anymore (probably because he wanted to go too) meaning Paul came off as the boss of everything.
Definitely a very interesting look into the making of essentially their worse album, looking back on it most of the songs were essentially demos rushed to be recorded live due to Paul's little experiment
Needed something easy to watch, so went with lady bird today. was decent, maybe even good. paul atreides big dork energy
By SavageGordonLung Go To PostDamn this looks fantastic. Spiderman looked good too, but this is another level. Anywhere to see this already? Google isnt very helpfulNot really. You need some sort of industry credentials to watch on theanimationshowcase.
Hopefully they put it up publicly soon.

It's on my watchlist at least, but I can not find it anywhere so kind of shrugged it off.
By s y hulud Go To PostFinna watch dune in super IMAX today :o-this was a ssj3 imax, not the base form
-loud as fuck, seat was vibrating.
-was expecting all the shots to be in 1.43:1, but it's a good amount.
-this is like my 4th time watching the movie and it cemented the stretch from Duncan finding Paul to flying through the sand storm as the worst part of the movie and drags the entire second half down.
Would recommend. The only theaters worth going to are the big dick IMAX ones, the rest can die.
Brought my nephew to see the new Ghostbusters and hated it :lol.
I think it embodies the worst aspects of modern blockbusters (Star Wars, Jurassic World, etc) of treating the past with a type of religious reverence that I find physically painful. Like, there is a moment in this movie where they treat a candy bar wrapper with awe - a fucking candy bar wrapper!
(Haven't seen any other Ghostbuster movie so feel free to disregard my opinion)

I feel you - Corps have been weaponising nostalgia for a bit now, its How Disney and Nintendo maintain their stranglehold on pop culture.
In a world where everything is referential.... creativity is fucking dead.
Ready Player One is a terrible culprit for this - so is Stranger things.
Pure masturbatory no claptrap.

I like the OG Ghostbusters but I wouldn't say it's one of my favourite films. What works in the OG film is the chemistry and humour between the cast.
Ready Player One was weird, because it simultaneously whored out nostalgia and constantly shot and framed things (like people in their derelict apartments with the goggles on) that suggested knowingly this is a dystopian nightmare. I haven’t read the book, but it seemed Cline’s and Spielberg’s sensibilities were constantly clashing.
i fucking hate the book, worst garbage i've ever read and i would still rather read it again than watch the movie.
Ready Player One the book is awful. I didn’t mind the movie it had some awesome set pieces and design to it.
Daredevil on Netflix is still one of the best pieces of media since the superhero boom began. I'm glad Charlie Cox is getting paid off this.
It's rumoured that Vincent D'Onofrio may be reprising his role of Kingpin in other Marvel series as well.

Well, regarding Vincent D'Onofrio,he will most definitely show up on Hawkeye as in the last episode we saw the hand of Echo's Uncle when she was a child and the laugh was definitely D'Onofrio, Kingpin is heavily connected with Echo in the comics.
By SavageGordonLung Go To PostIs he that butthurt about The Last Duel?
If only Alien: Covenant bombed this hard.
Saw the Last Duel, and it really didn’t do anything for me. Seemed like some weird apology letter from Ben Affleck and Matt Damon because they were so closely associated with Weinstein.
I’m surprised anybody involved thought this would be of interest to a wider audience, what’s in here has about as much as I depth as your weekly SVU episode. It just takes a lot longer to get to the point.

I loved The Last Duel. Such an interesting and kind of innovative way of telling the story it wanted to tell. Adam Driver's acting was incredible.
Showing the same events from different perspectives isn’t exactly innovative, and I would give the movie some credit for changing the scenes accordingly if they didn’t literally tell you who was telling the truth.

I know unreliable narrator is a thing, but even nervous laughter, and instant look away adds so much to the storytelling I found it very fascinating. Even the lighting within a room, or crowds reaction changed minimally and that just made me appreciate it as a whole.
Plus the brutal medieval action was refreshing to see.
By bud Go To Postlad.
best marketing the film has had. i actually want to see it now.
Its really sucks that the shitty Gucci movie is the one that is plastered everywhere, not our fault he decided to whore himself to an easy marketable film for masses to be advertised everywhere.
By n8 dogg Go To PostLooks good. Groff a mega step down from Weaving tho
Groff got that American-Jock-Cunt (AJC) look down very well, worked perfectly in Bond but I'm not sure how well it works here....

I still remember walking out of the theater after just seeing Matrix 1... hadn't heard a single thing about the movie or its premise, walked out with my jaw on the floor, recall pinching ourselves to see if we were real. How still so gullible and naive at 18.
