I thought Lincoln was surprisingly good, and there are some shots that look like moving paintings. DDL was phenomenal.
Only watched it a year or so ago.

By Perfect Blue Go To Postn8 adores Silence. Still have to see that one myself, the only recent Scorsese I haven’t seen.
Have you read the book? It’s even better
By n8 dogg Go To PostHave you read the book? It’s even betterNaw. Haven't even seen the Masahiro Shinoda adaptation.
Loved The Last Duel, it was so well structured and polished. Pacing never felt off, acting was great and the dialogue... was robotic but in a good way.
Really, really enjoyed this film.

There was some early talk about Korean movies. A Tale Of Two Sisters was probably my first introduction to Korean cinema and I think it was the first imported DVD I bought (it was that or a special release of The House On The Left to celebrate the fact it was unbanned from the UK).
I need to rewatch it soon but it is one my favourite horror movies ever.

I really like The Departed. Just wasn’t in my top tier. Super entertaining (and Damon’s best performance).
Gangs of New York and Shutter Island were good too, I thought The Irishman was weak, lacked any reason d'etre or focus. The Departed is a Martin Scorsese top 5 movie.

I haven't watched many, I'm kind of ignorant as fuck to anything not Danish or Hollywood, but got so many downloaded ready to watch including a tale of two sisters. Just haven't gotten around to it yet.
Burning, minari, parasite and memories of murder were all great though, memories turned out to be one of my favorite films of all time. Can't believe a film of such quality could go under my radar for so long.
It does take a bit to convince yourself to read subs for a few hours though. Easier just to pop something English on.
Overall The Departed is a better made movie than Infernal Affairs, but the latter is a braver and less predictable story that isn’t as concerned with Hollywood cliches and moral outcomes.

Emil, watch The Handmaiden (you will love this lol) and Oldboy
I have watched oldboy actually, just a long time ago. Remember not thinking it was amazing, just good. Handmaiden I have downloaded too!
Watched Man on Fire last night. Good film, mostly enjoyed it. Hated the The Shield-esque editing though.
Low quality bait.
Can't wait for more Matrix, criminally underused considering its wider media potential and contemporary relevance.
More games, shows and anime pls, Lana.

Gonna watch the shit out of Matrix. But I gotta admit: It feels bad. Matrix 1 was a sleeper hit and I missed its original run in cinemas (caught it as a double feature with reloaded though).
Disappointed by Reloaded, hated Revolution and was close to a seizure watching it, and here I am still willing to pay for another nostalgia sequel/reboot.
We really deserve that endless trash.gif

From what I understand of it, it is specifically trying to not be a nostalgia sequel/reboot. Whether it succeeds or not I have no idea.
Man, I feel like people missed the messaging behind reloaded. I get why it's not loved, but did a rewatch a few months ago.
I feel its withstood the test of time better than most of its contemporaries. It really should have been trimed down and included revolutions to feel more complete. They were shot back to back. Its one film.

By Laboured Go To PostYT version.I'm so hyped for this movie, can't wait to see it on IMAX. I enjoyed all three movies, the first being the best but the sequels are equally entertaining to me, how can anyone not enjoy the action, story and characters introduced in Matrix 2? I admit the Zion parts were the weak point.

By RATHasReturned Go To PostLegally, you can import the Blu-ray from France. As the Blu-ray has already been released, that means there's also other ways.
How do I watch this immediately?
That's what a proper rich people midlife crisis should look like, not this becoming an astronaut crap
