My commiserations. Had a kitchen drainage blockage a few weeks ago that genuinely took years off my life. I was so sleep deprived I was hearing imaginary running water sounds.
Things blocking and water leaking sucks so bad especially if you gotta replace even more shit the water damaged.

There’s usually a slot in the bottom of the disposal that's got a 1/4” hex head slot for an Allen wrench to fit into. You crank in tbat back j forth and it should free it up.

If you hear humming when you flip the switch, it’s got power and yeah the washer should connect directly to the disposal via some small rubber hose.
