Anyone else feel the process of losing time through their parents rather than themselves? I'm 31 and I'm okay with that. But then I remember that my dad is 65 in a few months and I still think of him as being in his 40s, and it shits me up.

My parents just had their old lab put down. He was a great dog and wonderful with kids. That sparked my first “well sweetly, death is permanent and you will not be petting Kobe again”. At this point she asks why Kobe died and my wife says old age. Then my daughter asks about grandma ....

I regret that, it's not like we fell out, just didn't keep in touch after leaving school.
Had a few at work where it seems like you're good friends but then they leave and it turns out you were just colleagues who got on well with eachother.
