I get 25 days vacation time and 10 sick days. Not really even sure how sick days work now with the new WFH thing.
Yeah I'm 30 vacation days plus unlimited sick days. However this year, the year when no one can travel or do anything, I get 10 extra vacation days on top š

That the thing with union. No need to negotiate. The union does it for you. Then you wonāt have to act like negotiating plant labor is .... well ... laborious

Breh Iāve been saying this for years. Live better work union.
My dad, two uncles and three Cousins and my brother In law are all wireman. Myself and two other cousins are PMās.
If you got boomer parents chances are you do (union fam) even if they're not in trades. Really cool they shit it up for gens after though.
By blackace Go To PostI also come from a union family.
Was actually gonna include in the ābeen saying this for yearsā lo
That type of generational attachment to a trade is becuae we all saw our parents relative success and said āI can do thatā

To be honest though I don't like when people downplay the risks and body damage done to tradesmen, especially in electrical/carpentry. But hey at least it ain't doing heavy lifting and there's less pay/protections, fuckin' retail.
There will be some hurt with 3D printing and prefab, but by and large a construction worker canāt be replaced until we have T2 like robots lol
This is true to some extent. Physical labor aināt easy. Why myself and two cousins are PMās

Breh I didnāt even want to wade in lol.
Cal trans sucks but like tbat was a small ass road and one prefabbed tunnel. For the freeway work out in so cal they actually bring in and make cement batch processing plants to the site location since thereās so much material being processed and used lol

Also when your are qualified as a master after being an apprentice then a journeyman, then the world is your oyster.
So I'm co-running a recitation this semester on Introduction to Proofs and basic mathematical definitions.
I taught the same thing last semester and the ones that showed up knew what they were doing and could easily get on with the work. This time round, they are more friendly and talkative, but my god, they have no idea what they are doing. It's like pulling teeth and it's mentally exhausting having to constantly explain the same thing or watch them fuck things up. They do better on the homework than the other sections but every class is a struggle.

Were my legal case relating to it not be settling soon, I'd be in your PMs asking for a refresher on standard deviation (I know, I know) because fuck me my brain is a fog.
a friend of mine is an extremely high functioning alcoholic and it's really hard to say something about it because of it. i have no idea how to handle it.
