Dreamcast was by far the worst in terms of build quality with the controllers.
At least the cables had alot of cable ruptures and shit.

Man are there any good boss fights in nioh 2? They're either mind-numbing bore-fests or fights that break all the gameplay rules in place and still end up boring af. Really struggling to push through this, just mashed out that flying owl shyte first time because it was so badly designed even a fucking soccer-mom could have bashed it our.
Before “next gen” patches, before “Pro” patches. In the PS3 era, games got rumble patches. People on forums would talk about replaying games just experience them again with rumble.

Overall I vastly preferred the bosses in Nioh 1.
Felt like they were more challenging, but could also be that I wasn't really used to the gameplay at the time.
By Pennywise Go To PostDreamcast was by far the worst in terms of build quality with the controllers.I never had Dreamcast, but N64 had the shittiest build quality I have ever witnessed in an electronics. I probably bought like 4 controllers in a span of 3 years or so

I've had plenty of controllers break in some way or the other, usually with a button that just... stopped being clicky. But I never noticed controller drifting before my switch. Fuck me that is bad.

I'm the complete opposite I guess, anything excites me.
By Hitch Go To PostEverything back then was built to last thoNah.
Most of the stuff was just far more simplistic.
Alot of problems came into effect when more complex stuff was put in.
Both within the consoles itself and the controllers.

Anyone is still subscribed to Giantbomb Premium? I didn't renew after the mine expired since the games they played didn't interest me and they didn't have the UPF equivalent. Is the Friday relaxing any good/fun?
Thinking of resubbing but I am not sure

Nah. I used to for years, but man... They have just become so stagnant, and often there is absolutely nothing for days. With the way people are leaving, I would also not be surprised if they are shutting down soon enough. Lets play for boomers is dead.

Lets play for boomers is dead.In a way I agree with you, but at this rate, they have been a constant in my life that it just became a habit to tune in and whatsnot. I still watch their Quicklooks, listen to their podcasts, etc.
Sucks that they can't seem to freshen up their coverage, but other letsplays are so cringe and I actually do like how they remain steady and don't hype everything up to the upteenth level
They have for me too (seriously Ryan dying was probably the first time I was proper sad, about someone i didnt know personally dying), but I just dont even enjoy the podcasts anymore. Every now and then I will listen to the beastcast, I do love Vinny and Jeff Bakalar. But the other main one is just so damn bad. Brad and Jeff bring no energy, the new people are.... I dont even know them. Just meh.

Need to turn off my autosub for giantbomb

the second half, especially the dlc, has better bosses and levels IMO. It was consistent for me throughout where I don't think I was that bothered by any particular design choice too much.
I really hate gimmicky boss encounters, and we have God of War to thank for that lol..

I like the Hotspot, basically the original crew (minus Ryan, RIP), and usually not about the most recent weeks games or news.
That said, I still enjoy the regular podcasts, which most here don't, so maybe my tastes are off. It's the only gaming media I still watch/listen to anymore with most of the old shows I did listen to either dead or entirely not interesting
I absolutely love The Hotspot and I've really enjoyed the return of their premium Friday streams. The Hitmazing Race has been a blast for the first two episodes, too. Still hoping for another Alex and Vinny stream since Mass Alex is done and it seems like they aren't gonna touch Andromeda.
They still do enough for me that I keep subscribing.

combat, enemies and gear is far better than any from game. Only thing better in any of the from games is presentation.
Strikers keeps getting better
lol dy im sorry it appears Hard is no joke. Still manageable with debuffs and jumping between characters (which come on sounds more fun than mowing through the whole level with Joker)
From makes cooler looking gear but their stats game is very surface level. Nioh's mobs are limited to Japanese mythology so From can flex their create muscles quite a bit more
Nioh is doing its own thing, for me they're different enough. More than the other braindead clones that's for sure. It's a flawed gem, but the core is pretty damn fun.

By DiPro Go To Postnioh 2 is like a from game but a lot worse in every aspect.highly subjective obviously but I don't believe they have made a combat this deep yet.
still fun tho.

Any way to make the Xbox app on PC download faster? Shit is only downloading at 20MB/s but Steam downloads at like 80 for me.

I sold my dreamcast I think 2-3 years ago, I've had 4 controllers and every cable was ruptured and the controllers only worked holding the cable one way.
Rest was fine. Well except that infamous Dreamcast reset bug, but that's something I fixed myself.
Mainboard had one contact that kept getting loose and either needed contact spray or a manual fix.
Always had issue with play and charge kits on the 360, they basically never lasted for me, would stop charging/holding and charge
DS4 was fine for me, except for the ones I got with the console, where the stick rubber split. Sony replaced those fairly quickly.
Not had a worse experience with a controller than the JoyCons, sent those in 3 times for drift over the last few years. Was especially irritating in ACNH

Haven’t had any problems with controllers. In fact the only problems I’ve ever had with hardware were two 360s rings of death and an AMD gpu that fried.
it's so easy to break the left stick on the ds4.
strangely enough, my ds3 still works.
it was initially broken, but when i hooked up the ps3 again a few months ago after several years, it was fully operational.
it actually unbroke itself. thanks, ken.

Are you lot trying to eat your controllers?
I will agree the sixaxis was a peice of shit. How that got cleared at quality control is beyond me.

I went back and started Cyberpunk all over. Changed from Street Kid to Nomad and made a few different choices along the way.
I’m having a lot more fun now. A game like this really needs you to buy into it, but it’s hard to do that at first because between the non stop tutorials and world/character introductions there’s not a whole lot of room to simply become the character you create, specially when you barely see the character. Starting over and being able to just fast forward the tutorials and already being versed in the basics of the gameplay and the world, it just allows you to have fun from the get go and that really helps connecting with what’s going on.

By sy Go To PostI think the owl boss is the only one I didn't like so far.A general lack of challenge with some of them, whilst others feel like they've been overtuned. I think lightning boi was the weakest boss so far, whereas forest cat thing was alright and a bit sweaty.
What makes the bosses boring for you?
Some of the human bosses flux and switch stances giving the impression they follow the same rules you have to, only to have extreme hyper armour or instant attacks that you couldn't pull off. I might reassess that if these sorts of attacks and instant actions become available as I level up but eh.
Trusting u yurt about the second half and dlc 😅
