top 100 all time by IGN

Only saw the top 10, so crazy. You got Mass effect 2 in there, RDR2, and a bunch of Nintendo games because you know, that’s just how it is. Breath of the Wild the best game ever, because it invented open world Nintendo.

man i wish i loved BOTW like the rest of the world seems to. i enjoyed fucking around in it on some Skyrim shit but actually playing the story was tedious af
Think you need to be a Zelda fan first but I might be wrong on that. It seems they just changed OOT to BOW, because for some reason that game keeps falling further and further down these lists.
I liked BoTW, but didn't love it. I think a huge number of Nintendo games get such huge praise it the Nexus because they have a massive lineage and a huge amount of nostalgia for most of these dudes.
Metroid was another, good game, but the way it was talked about recently was like it was flawless and genre defining.

I can’t take seriously any list of greatest game ever that doesn’t have Tetris at least in the top five lol.

By JesalR Go To PostGenuinely the greatest game of all-time, m8.
Timeless, and I loved Tetris Effect too, but I get why I just doesn't place that high anymore. Think most journalists are the younger side now
By Xpike Go To Posthades at #13 screams of recency biasI really enjoyed the game, but yeah that’s not getting near a top 50 all time list for me. Not even the best rogue like of the last decade.
disco is where it should tho
By Xpike Go To Posttetris is cheating, its the eternal gameBackseat car rides as a kid with my game boy and Tetris.
Chef's kiss.
Started playing back Guardians of the Galaxy and I don’t remember how to play this at all after not playing since November.
actually wild for SMT, 4's lifetime sales were 600k I think.
hope yall had a lovely night, and happy birthday to Hidetaka Miyazaki. :3

Got the Varia Suit in Metroid and then got my ass kicked in the boss fight with the chained up beast. Stopping for dindins now but really enjoying the game.
lmao that's not what he said on graphics or the delay
Q: What prompted the decision to push back the game’s original release date?
Miyazaki: The level of freedom that we wanted to ultimately achieve in Elden Ring exceeded what we were initially planning for. This [complexity] gradually built up, and the time needed to debug and QA in particular took a lot more effort."
Miyazaki, who also directed development on the original Demon's Souls, said he hadn't played Bluepoint's remake, but that the widespread praise it received for its visuals lit a fire under the graphics team at From.
"Yes, I'm pretty sure our graphics-creation staff felt that pressure more than anyone else," he said in an interview with Edge magazine (H/T VGC). "And not just with Elden Ring, but with all the games we make. Graphical fidelity is not something we put as the top priority. What we ask for on the graphics side depends on the systems and requirements of the game itself, and it takes less priority compared to the other elements of development."
"So this is always an area where I feel a little bit apologetic towards my graphics team because I know they work extremely hard. And they've worked extremely hard on Elden Ring — our graphics-systems team and our programmers have been pushing a lot of new features to create the best-looking games we've ever made."
Looking at the 2022 release list, there's a bunch of games I want. We'll see how many I end up getting since 2022 I am trying to limit myself to buying games that I'll only play as soon as I buy them lol.

Impressed by the AI on NBA2k22. I was rinsing a team with threes and one player in particular in Q1, and they adapted and put a better defender on me and pressed closer and double teamed. Good stuff.
Played more of Ori. Enjoying it more now I can do more shit, but I think I’m stuck in a hole.
I’ve only played about 30 mins of Forza and Halo because I’m kind of putting them off until I get an OLED, lest I’m not making enough use of them.

AI: The Somnium Files was SO fucking GOOD I genuinely cant wait for the sequel
@n8 stuck normally means you need an upgrade to cross that path so look elsewhere

Ori is an OLED game.
When this tv fucks it (jesus let it be soon) and I upgrade, Ori will be one of the first games I play on it.
