By reilo Go To PostYea but I didn't expect him to regress hard to career-lowsI'm desensitized to that stuff after following Tyreke Evans' shooting too closely for a couple years. He would start off the first half of every season shooting the 3 at like 40-45%. By the end of the season, it had fallen to like 30%. It takes longer than a single season to sell me on someone's 3p shooting unless they are literally throwing up close to 10 a game for the season.

By reilo Go To PostWhy is Dallas tankinggame doesn't matter. probably should pull all the starters.
By reilo Go To PostI mean I'd at least imagined he'd be more wide-open and have better looks playing with Denver but guess notUnless he started getting a higher percentage of corner 3s, I wouldn't really expect the percentage to change. His 3s in Orlando weren't really contested, either, because no one would really bother to close out on him. His shot was never rushed so there really isn't a difference in the quality of look unless he gets more corner 3s now.
Relatedly, I dislike the "contested" shot stat from Synergy as it still doesn't really tell you if the shot was actually contested. In my opinion, a shot is only contested if the shooting player was forced to take a quicker release than normal, or couldn't get their footwork right, or otherwise made uncomfortable.
Like, you can have a tiny ass guard running out to get a "contest" on an Aaron Gordon shot (according to Synergy) and it sure as hell didn't have an actual effect on whether Gordon's shot went in or not.

It's something that people can usually be able to identify on film after studying the player in question. It would require a history of that player's shooting and somehow an ability to identify what is an "unrushed" or "off-balance" shot is for them.
By Doomsayer Go To PostDrummond is so, so bad under the basket.among other things, yes
I know its a common thing to blame your teams problems on some random role player but if Royce O'Neal was a legit good 3 and D player, this team might not be food in the playoffs.
Which is why a guy like MIkal Bridges is going to be getting a very very large contract.

By reilo Go To PostUh maybe stating the obvious unless Mitchell and Conley are healthy it won't matter if Royce O'Neal was that type of playerIt will, he constantly gets left open and we have nobody that is actually good at perimeter defense. He is .. fairly good on defense as long as he isn't guarding someone much bigger or much quicker though.
By Kibner Go To Postamong other things, yesDrummond is so, so bad at everything
By Doomsayer Go To PostDrummond is so, so bad at everythingHe's good at sealing a single man when going for a rebound!
By Kabro Go To PostLeBron looks woke. That hesi reverse layup was insane.
Maybe the playoffs won't be a total trainwreck
Lebron shows up ready to go for the playoffs? If only we had years of evidence to show that would happen.
By Kibner Go To PostThe Lakers should not be having this much trouble with this Pels team. lmaoHow quickly does LeGM ship Anthony Davis out if he shows up playing like this for the play-in?
By Kibner Go To PostThe Lakers should not be having this much trouble with this Pels team. lmaoLakers been playing with 0 energy since the 2nd quarter. Only one who has been locked in has been Bron.
By Kabro Go To PostKuzmania with the mamba move. ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜This is why noone likes Lakers fans
Still really wish Vogel would understand how to split minutes between Trez/Gasol/Drummond.
Relying on Drummond way too much.
And AD gets kicked in the ankle, this dude is just an injury magnet

Hayes fuck... that looks bad.
At first I thought he got hit in the nuts, but he landed on his leg really odd. Hope it's nothing serious.

just step out of the way if you aren't going to defend
Hayes better not be seriously hurt

Enjoy the play-in, Lebron. I hope you and your opponent battle it out, play each other 5 times to determine who makes it into the playoffs.

By unknown Go To Postisnt play in sudden death? Two to win one for the 7 and 8 seeds. Have to win two in a row for 9 and 10 seeds.

8 plays the winner of 9/10, I believe
I could also be wrong.
