As if anybody should trust in me when I say a game is good, and rightly so, my taste in games is equal to Sy’s ability to cook a steak.
From what I played before going to sleep, it’s good. Nomad start wasn’t very flashy up front. Driving felt good, shooting felt good but I can def see the bullet sponge criticisms. I figure the game will be a lot of driving and a lot of shooting, so based on those aspects and the visual presentation being cummies, I can confidently say the game is good already.

By sy Go To PostsyetteLooking good. A bit too clean in terms of cyberpunkiness, perhaps? Unless you're playing a purist / base human supremacist.

as expected steam preload decryption was slow as fuck so I deleted it and redownloaded the game, only took 30 mins so no biggie

wonder what the res is on ps5. Even Spidey's RT performance mode looks much sharper.
street kid stats
photomode is wonky af but I didn't waste an hour in the CC to not spam it. Also, the res is higher in photomode.
NPCs look cool

Played for about 2.5 hours. Something seems off and I've ran into a few bugs so far. After meeting the ripperdoc, it wouldn't progress to the next story beat with Jackie. It kept telling me to talk to Viktor. Loaded up a previous file, still wanted me to talk to Viktor (who you owe money too, but the option is greyed out because you're broke af rn) and didn't progress the beat. Walk out to the common area and Jackie is walking back and forth, with no prompt for me to talk to him. Reload a save for the 3rd time. Finally the story beat proceeds and tells me talk to Jackie, and I'm able to continue.
Graphics seem hit or miss. Some parts seem really flat, others well put together. Gun play doesn't actually feel bad, or as bad as I was expecting from The Witcher 3 devs. TBF, haven't had many shootouts this early on, but it didn't seem horrible.
Early hours, but the game seems like your standard first person RPG, and I can't see why it's taken 5 years or whatever to build tbh.
Played with everything at max, RT at Pyscho setting (highest), 4k, DLSS Performance. Got as low as 45fps while driving around, but normally hung around the low to mid 50s. Seemed smooth either way, gysnc putting in work.

By Lupercal Go To PostWhat about the important stuff, is there a mini game like Gwent in there?nope
Am I the only cheap fucker that bought the physical version on amazon to save 10 bucks and are now watching in jealously like that squidward meme?
By sy Go To Post8 years and factsNah it started development after Witcher 3 Blood and Wine DLC got released. It was just announced long ago.
By Lunatic Go To PostNah it started development after Witcher 3 Blood and Wine DLC got released. It was just announced long ago.pre production is still development.
Game peaked at 1m+ concurrent players on Steam. Above CSGO and first single player game to do it. Damn.
By sy Go To Postpre production is still development.Yea exactly it went into pre production in 2016
By Lunatic Go To PostYea exactly it went into pre production in 2016they couldn't have even produced that reveal trailer without preproduction but ok lol.
I mean if you think a cgi announcement trailer is pre production then sure.
CDPR was only working on The Witcher 3 at that point.

Most CGI trailers are farmed out and how many people out of the whole team do you really need to produce it... a couple dozen at most.

By Lunatic Go To PostBecause psy bought a game to troll it.A lot of people are complaining about it, not only Sy.
It's buggy, RTX implementation can go from gorgeous to crap, shit on consoles, etc. That's on the devs so I dont get why some are defensive about it.
True dat.
Sounds like GFN will give me 2080d rigs as expected, oh well now to wait till I finish work around the 18th to play it.

By Lunatic Go To PostY'all suddenly agreeing with smokey is mad sus just sayingbreh is CDProjekt paying you
By Lunatic Go To PostIt's massively noticeable during every scene. Gives a more true to life experience and that's not even hyperbole.
shit is trash
i've played enough. about twice as buggy as Valhalla at launch. what a joke. UI is some of the worst I've ever experienced as well. driving is ass.
shelved. try it again next year.

Take some screenshots of crap RTX implementation please. Not saying it doesn’t exist, but so far I’ve not seen anything I would describe like that

RT shadows doesnt work on some small items that would've helped on it not looking floaty.
Most of the time it really helps to improve how the game looks and that's great! Doesnt mean that it's massively noticeable in every scene. CP 2077 already did good work on making it shine for the baseline.
