yeah kinda surprised how easy this game is on hard. if you pick normal you can just walk through everything i guess.
The last part on hard is rough if you don’t god up those stats.
Heard about the new ending. So that’s how they’re moving on from V in the future?

The expansion seems to have made it harder to access the gigs and side stuff that was too high level for you. In the base game, you could always out level stuff even on the hard difficulties but some parts would be impossible if you weren't strong enough. Seems like they've hidden those parts now if your level is too low.
they seriously make you climb all the way to that fucking tower until you can say 'fuck off' lmao
The hints, the gifts, the begging... genius bit of roleplaying if you think about it.

Straight female v and gay male v really got fucked over.
Kerry and Rivers are both weirdly pushy. You couldn't give them mother fucking Takemura or even Johnny ?

VA seems like it's only gotten worse with Phantom Liberty. Only one worth a shit is Johnny and, weirdly enough, male V

They kept popping up as I finished the others until I got a call from the fixer to say I'd done everything.
Deep into the DLC now and I'm loving it. The character models and facial animations are truly sensational in this and I think a good 50% of it comes down to how amazing the (RT) lighting is. These Poles know how to set the mood.
CDPR would be stupid to go 3rd person in the sequel, though I can understand why I'd make sense for them to have a unified pipeline with TW4.
I've been playing without mods and haven't felt the urge to add any, which is a testament to all the improvements ... expect for no fall damage. I'm cyber'd out of my fucking mind, it just makes sense I'd be able to withstand poor ol' gravity.

they raytraced all in judy's yams lmao
also johnny "i don't like the idea of diving.... reminds me of damp, dark, places i cannot escape" "whatever bitch lets go judy" has me fucking weak
never noticed this shit before at all

Didn't bother with melee the first time round but early game I'm dropping quick-hacks, dashing in, deflecting bullets with a sword and just slicing men up like Doner Kebab, then dashing out again, dropping hacks again, dashing in and shawarma-kinging everyone.
Looking into some of the dialogue that I missed, and damn, they integrated PL really nicely into the main story. I didn't realize that they added so much (story related), if you do things out of order (or take certain paths afterward). The implications of some of what happens in the story is out there, if you do things out of order.
Spoilers for endgame (more specifically Hellman, Alt, and a secret item).
I don't know where they take the sequel, and what (if anything) will continue from this game. If V is de-powered, then that's probably that. If she's not, and they continue with the events of Reed's path, then what Alt tells you, if you craft the Blackwall tech, is fucked. The AI from beyond using it and the Relic as a gateway to the real world is horror shit. So basically Songbird, Myers, the Voodoo boys, and V fast track the end of humanity. lol Possessed Songbird was enough to break out of a cyberpsycho enclose and kill a Maxtech agent…for free. Nobody could stop V if it was her.
The other path is just as fucked up and maybe more insidious.
Hellman is shook af about it, in his dialogue too.
Netwatch is just as fucked up as the other groups, but these extra lines make them seem like the only ones with their eye on what's the most important.
Enlightenment has been reached. It's so much fun.

you can make mad angles as soon as you land, it's incredible. Gonna need a radio mod for when you're on foot because fuck using any car when you can pretty much long-jump everywhere quick af lol

I drive the cars because they're cool. You get a cyberpunk Miami Vice Ferrari and the fucking Akira bike
I thought you could buy all the iconic weapons you don't have at the weapon vendor in the Dogtown stadium?

PT's ending hits hard, much harder than the original one. Really dug the the bittersweetness (mostly bitterness) of it all. I too opted to save psycho girlfriend and seeing my female V's diminished state at the end, with her dissolving into NC's crowd, made me feel things.
Brilliant recovery by CDPR.

Started a new save. Want to get used to the new 2.0 patch changes before starting the DLC. Haven't played the game in over a year and only got half way through before I parked it for Elden Ring.
Forgot how gorgeous this game looked even on console. I've gone for a strength/reflexes character rather than my previous netrunner.

Bruh. Gonna have to do another playthrough with all of this shit installed.
Just give me some of these options in the base photo mode. >:(
Right, guess I need to finally bone up on how to mod the game properly.
Edit: main question: is there a mod manager worth using with it these days?

I feel like the best strategy is to probably hang on to iconics and just keep upgrading their tiers when you have the mats.
By Laboured Go To PostI feel like the best strategy is to probably hang on to iconics and just keep upgrading their tiers when you have the mats. You'll get a bunch of really good weapons just doing core missions. One of the best sniper rifles is received from a Panam mission. You'll get a great sword from one of the final Takemura missions. You'll get like 2 dozen iconic pistols. You wont actually need to keep crafting upgrades in 2.0 unless you're using a niche weapon like the hammer you get from a voodoo boys mission
Loving the game, and in particular I think it's the characters, writing and the city (even if it's superficial) that really shine. I'm 50/50 on the combat. Sometimes I'm really enjoying it and sometimes I don't quite mesh with it.
Into the final third of the game now and time to start PL. Remains a great ride. I like Jonny more than I thought I would but it's pretty clear that Keanu was bad casting for the requirements (other than being famous and therefore selling copies).
Started playing this game, now mind you I don't game, and when I do it's games like cities skylines, but I'm on the tutorial and it's impossible to dodge. I'm on PC.

I rebound dodge to a button on the mouse. Or you can set it in options to be a double tap of a movement key.
Goodness, they ramped up the graphics on level 5 Phantom Liberty. Chimera fight is the first thing that's brought my 4090 to its knees.
