... and it certainly isnt new, if not counting the legend JT. Kiko Casilla even got banned 8 matches for Leeds last season for racism. Bernardo Silva was also banned for a match due to some tweet.
By JesalR Go To PostCan any of the Canadians here give me a hand? I'm trying to buy an NHL streaming subscription for my partners dad, he lives in Montreal and mostly cares about Habs games, but I'm seeing things about regional blackouts, so I have no idea what service to get him. Any advice would be great.I should know this but I don't follow hockey. I think you can get a direct subscription from the NHL itself though, that should cover what he's needs.

Will be useless unfortunately. Blackout restrictions mean that if you live in that market then you can’t watch games when the local broadcaster has the rights.
As he lives in Montreal and the team is based there, the local channel that shows the games will have the rights, so he would not be able to watch it on the NHL site. Those streaming services are better suited for fans who live out of market.
It might be best to ask in the NBA thread, as they might have more experience with the NBA streaming service.
Edit: a quick search and nhl.tv isn’t available in Canada.
