I’m not denying he said that, and in theory it is that because minor caveats aside they built a console with the same feature set. The point I was trying to make was that they also acknowledged there could be differences when they talked about the install size. They also used the example of lowering resolution to enable more complex effects on the Series S. So it was clear that the exact differences would be determined by the developer.
A separate point: it’s very easy to pick apart the stated performance targets of these consoles, especially when so many of these console games are running with dynamic scaling.

Think it’s fair to say they’re spread pretty thin with the launch of 3 consoles, multiple different games and graphics cards/CPUs all in such a short space of time.

FYI a french website (Les Numeriques is a bit like Tom's Hardware in France, so quite serious) made a strange discovery : the PS5 is using 2 different types of fan. One seems very silent while the other not really.
