The Series X is impressive. Had some fun kicking around with it lately, even if just goofing with older titles.

Love the controller, love how much more responsive games feel with their new latency tech, the SSD is a tremendous upgrade over even loading games externally on the One X, and the enhanced games I've played so far have been great.
I know Gears isn't for many people here, but the new hardware is a real godsend for it.

Against my better judgment i set the ps5 up quickly. lol.
It's actually pretty loud. i can hear it from 10 meters away very easily. I played Astrobot for a few minutes and the controller haptics aren't nearly as cool as i hoped they would be. They hyped them up too much. Need to try it in a real game though.
Wifi is garbage again and even with the LAN cable it's pretty slow. Might be on my end but no other device has any problems.
Other than that it seems like pretty decent console. Demon's looks mighty fine on the 77" OLED.

Seen 20 PS5's for sale on Portugal's biggest online marketplace. Cheapest was 650€, most expensive ones were 1500€ and one of them was a digital edition.
The UK launch experience of online queues, high demand and not getting chance to buy before the site crashes or it goes out of stock really makes me miss the simplicity of turning up at Tesco at 2pm and being first in line for a PS4.

I peeked the queue on the Curry’s website on my break, saw 71000 and realised immediately that I didn’t stand a fucking chance though.

It will cache your download files from various services like PSN, Windows Store, Nintendo Store, etc. so that your re-downloads will come from your local storage instead of over the internet. It is mostly intended for people hosting LAN parties but could be useful in a few, very niche home settings.

Not touched anything but AstroBot yet but finished 3 of the 4 levels. It's alright, not a patch on the VR game but I didn't expect it to be. I still hope they get to make a full-blown non-VR AstroBot before the inevitable sequel on PSVR2 though.
But yeah, this boi is fast. And I can see these card things being extremely useful in the future.

I don't understand why the cards don't appear beneath the games themselves, seems like the perfect place to jump in. Overall, the UI is far more awkward than the PS4's, just generally seems poorly thought through. The ideas are good, but everything takes 2 or 3 more button presses than it should.
