Don't know if this has been posted here before but I am surprised to see Ruben Amorim there. He probably deserves it, I've been loving his speeches, saying that everyone needs to calm down, this is the same team that was eliminated by LASK, everyone thinks we are great now but two defeats and everyone will say that we are shit.
He was very criticized by Sporting supporters for playing with 3 CBs but it's working.
Our CBs are probably the weak link of the team but we have the best defence in the league with 4 goals conceded in 7 games and have scored 19 goals.
Team has been getting even more clinical in front of goal (6 shots on goal tonight and scored 4 goals).
Haven't seen such optimism around the team in quite a while, the team is young, playing well and improving every game.
The elimination from european competitions might be a blessing in disguise, it's an unusual season with a reduced pre season, an even more packed schedule than usual and that has been noticable in most top teams.
