It shifts the power to the big 6 but if it stops murderous, despotic regimes from sportswashing it will all be worth it, and I'm sure we'll all agree on that.
This rule about six clubs lording it over the other 12/14 is genuinely abysmal. If this passes then the league's fucking dead, genuinely.

What's to stop a murderous, despotic regime from buying United/Liverpool etc.?
By inky Go To PostBoth are already owned by americans tho
EPL should have 20 teams. 18 teams only on a country with literally hundreds of clubs is a joke.
It's the perfect number.
Cabarao should just be dissolved. Community Shield not imo.

18 teams make a league feel less special from my experience. Protecting one of the relegation candidates by including them in the playoffs also limits competition.
Nothing in there is good for football when the downside is a big power grab for a few teams in the middle of a crisis.

Buried in the Telegraph article
Some of the top clubs have been looking at this for a long time. Setting their own prices for streaming games rather than getting Sky/Amazon/BT involved. Could see them making a ton of money that way.

All Premier League clubs have the exclusive rights to sell eight live matches a season directly to fans via their own digital platforms in all international territories.

By Laboured Go To PostWe're going to get fucking rinsed lolLol so many players missing. If England drop any points i look forward to people saying England lost just because they're shit.
The top 6 will sacrifice the absolute least under those propositions, and gain the absolute most. It's an absolute cabal, and I'm ashamed that I'm certain Levy loves this idea
of course the Americans would want to make the whole thing a cartel and make sure things like Leicester never happen again
game is truly gone if that ever picks up steam

There's nothing about this England system that works, and it's resoundingly not worked in more than just this game.
By Laboured Go To PostThere's nothing about this England system that works,And yet here we are
By LFMartins86 Go To PostWho are those world class players that are missing from England's squad? From the starting eleven England are missing Kane, Sterling, Sancho, Chilwell & Gomez.

Yeah that's how world class works
I haven’t watched England much lately because it’s usually boring as hell
But someone explain to me why Trippier is starting at LB and why both Walker and TAA are playing. Laborious stuff coming out of the back

No idea what the plan even was for this match, or why we've put the weakened team out today instead of the friendly that we had on Thursday. Even if the Nations League is a bit of a nonsense, especially in these circumstances, there's the prospect of a couple more semi-competetive games if we win the group which would surely be very useful for Southgate?
Numerical advantage with the back 3 but no quality to go with it, Dier especially is being rinsed by Lukaku. Absolute black hole of a midfield. Not a big fan of Mount, Rashford is in shit form, and they're getting very little of the ball in a position to do something with it. Same goes for Calvert Lewin.
It's a formation and lineup that surrenders control in the middle, and puts all the creative onus on two fullbacks who are finding it pointless to go forward because there's nobody to advance the ball up the pitch for them or drag their opposite numbers out of position.
Belgium have plenty of gears to go through as it stands, we don't. Would rather we just carry on banging our heads against a wall with a 4-3-3 until we get Grealish or Maddison properly attuned to the team. If we go into the Euros with this as our default set-up, we're not going to do anything.
