Players from Portugal out. Ospina out due to Napoli Gate. Cuadrado out as well.
It's a mess
Why are we having FIFA again?

Sancho looks very ill at that party, it's a good thing Dortmund decided not to play him these past few weeks.
By FootbalIFan Go To Postthis might just be one of the worst highlight reels ive seen

By Doicare Go To PostI guess he was just too ill to play for Dortmund but luckily enough recovered just in time to travel to England the next day.No. They just didn't nominate him. Wasn't necessary and he hardly trained, besides I explained the situation.
I could also just get out and collect all those posts by you claiming that "Sancho is coming" bla bla, but nah.
What a great day.
Looking back at the highlights it's easy to blame Adrian but the way Villa exploited our weaknesses, with the high line and switch of play in both counter attacks and fks, have been there for months to see. Not sure if Klopp would change it but when the press doesn't work, like yesterday, I could see these kind of results happening more often.

Half the goals were deflected which keepers can basically do very very little against
I think the defending was much worse than the goalkeeping from what I saw
By Killer7 Go To PostForget Sancho. We need a CB and DM
But we have Maguire bailly lindelof smalling rojo jones tuanzebe and mengi m8 we are sorted
Dembele
VDB
Telles
Cavani
Would look like a pretty good summer window at face value, but they all have concerning caveats.
Dembele - made of glass and questionable mentality
VDB - good depth signing but doesn't seem to be in the plans for the first team
Telles - I like us buying a fullback that can actually function past the halfway line actually so no real qualms here
Cavani - fine depth signing but doesn't improve the first XI and worryingly reminiscent of Falcao

If he doesn't come this year he's still leaving, try not to get too bitter about it.
Imagine being such a small time stepping stone club that the biggest thing you celebrate is forcing players who don't want to play for you anymore to stay another year.
Pray for Sancho he's still very ill.
Re: Souness To be fair, it’s true that English football has always looked down on gamesmen-ship.
Absolutely true. We have been getting strung out by long balls behind the fullbacks since the start of the season. The defensive setup right now is too easily broken.

Surprised to see the Adrian blame tbf. First goal yes, but there were three big deflections (that Barkley one in particular...), and thought the backline excluding Robbo were dire. TAA gave up at 4-1.
Godfrey to Everton done. Good buy. Looks like they’re really trying to capitalise on their start. No European football will mean they get EL this year I think.

Anyways sounds like Telles, Cavani and Pellestri are all basically done. So the rest of the day will be spent haggling on Dembele. Sounds like Smalling, Rojo and Romero could all go.

Is Pellestri supposed to be first team ready?
According to wiki, 2 goals in 40 games

My guess would be no not yet. Not seen any journos / pundits say that he's going into the first team.

Don't think he's got much left but as a loan got a season of depth not the worse deal.
Plus #WelcomeHomeTheo
Pellistri will be a squad player for a while I think. He's already too experienced to bother putting in the U23's.

Gonna be happy when he goes to a club that fits his quality, which isn't Manchester United.
Imagine being a club that still lives off the glory of the past, still thinking you mean jackshit in the world of footy when you end up with old man Cavani. Handling transfer business like amateurs, while paying off your sugardaddy.
With the most obnoxious fanbase online and braindead fans like you.
He's gonna be fine. He will enjoy CL footy past winter instead of EL.

Good for him. Penny, can you tell me a bit about how Hoffenheim play / if he's likely to get a lot of minutes at LB/LWB?

They usually play with 3 CBs at the back, so 3-4-3 or 3-4-2-1 and similar tactics. Therefore they really need a good LWB.
Robert Skov (you can hear Wooden jerking whenever the name gets mentioned) is the LW usually, but had to play LWB a few times since their normal LWB is currently injured.
He should also get past that LB and get enough time on the pitch.
I haven't really watched them this season and they've got a new coach. Overall it still looks like they're following the same formation.
Should be a good fit and he should get enough time on the pitch unless he gets injured or isn't delievering.
