Looks like we’ll probably be looking to sign a defender in January, with our eyes on Ben White.
Will be good to not have to rely on Fabinho there

By Willkiller Go To PostI’ve been saying for a long time we should ban Americans from any involvement in footballWe should just build a wall around America and not let them leave anywhere
pretty sure this is being led by Agnelli lmao
LISTEN if we can't win your damn trophy we'll create our own.

There’s a lot of land there though that could be used by...better people
We do need a solution to the American problem though. A final solution.

Leaving aside the other arguments against, I wouldn't want to be in a league with Barcelona, Real Madrid, and wilful trademark infringers J brand

Really not happy with any super league or cl reform.
If it has to be done I'd change it back to the two group stage format or make two groups of 16, one leg ties then do knockouts. Even Agnelli's plans for promotion/relegation between the three European competitions would be better than this. Maybe it's a negotiation ploy.
If there's billions in financing already there to be divided amongst 18 teams then this is as good as done, I fear.

A super league would be incredibly boring, oh who won this year, Bayern, Real Madrid, Barca, Liverpool, or City? Oh well just try again next year, one of those 5
By Xpike Go To PostA super league would be incredibly boring, oh who won this year, Bayern, Real Madrid, Barca, Liverpool, or City? Oh well just try again next year, one of those 5Well it’s basically any of those teams that win the CL every year already lol, so what’s the difference
By Freewheelin Go To PostWell it’s basically any of those teams that win the CL every year already lol, so what’s the differenceif its a league, we're absolutely winning this. Make it knockout and we're out every year
The issue with a superleague is that effectively, some of these teams that join will be the West Hams of the league

By Freewheelin Go To PostWell it’s basically any of those teams that win the CL every year already lol, so what’s the differenceWe had Atletico make 2 finals last decade, Spurs was in the final last year, alongside Ajax making it to the semis, Roma made it to the semis the year before, as did Monaco, last year we had RB Leizpig and Lyon on the semis too, and Atalanta a few minutes away from making it alongside them. The CL is way more varied in who goes through because anything can happen in a knockout round.
By Yurtlicious Go To Postare you, gods help you, assuming you're invited?no worries no worriesI'm not assuming a thing, it's in the story that all the top 6 are in talks. Regardless, I doubt we would be picked.
I've always been in favour of a proper European league that took in maybe the top 1 or 2 from all the European leagues initially, had promotion and relegation, and ideally banned the cheating oil clubs. Have a 20 team Euro Premier, a 24 team Euro Championship, and have an end of year tournament amongst the winners of the domestic leagues for the chance to join the Euro league.
It still wouldn't be good for travelling fans, but at least it would rebalance Europe and give great old clubs a chance again.
This proposal is just shite

european league makes a lot of sense for the likes of barca, but why would english teams support it? nothing is going to match the money from the prem
Yeah, it does feel like the EPL big bois letting the other Euro big bois in on their honey pot. That and someone is going to have to come last, which just doesn't suit the image and reputation (and fragile ego) of any of these clubs.
By rerixo Go To Posteuropean league makes a lot of sense for the likes of barca, but why would english teams support it? nothing is going to match the money from the premDon’t see any reason why it wouldn’t generate significantly more TV and sponsorship money than the EPL. A cold night at Camp Nou will gather a lot more global interest than a cold night at Stoke.

There's absolutely 0 interest in it from fans
The PL teams won't want just a Euro league because it gets rid of their crazy advantage. West Ham make the 18th most money in football. You've got 6 PL teams outearning all but 3 other clubs in the world, that changes drastically if there are 13 other huge teams in the same league
By Bungie Go To Post🔑
Also, doesn't a Euro League then massively reduce the interest and prestige in the CL (and thereby the revenue)?
By Willkiller Go To PostThere's absolutely 0 interest in it from fansHonest question, does the UCL have worse viewership in the UK than the EPL? For the same team I mean. They basically want to a season long UCL with all the big match-ups happening every season is what it looks like to me.
