saying this without evidence but i really don't think any of these "trick" questions are good at determing good candidates.
My company fired most of the accounting department to save costs. They outsourced the work but noticed that it couldn't be done in half the time as they had hoped. Now, they pay for the work full-time at much higher rates than before and the work is still much shittier and slower. they spend half the time correcting their shitty mistakes, i bet they promised them some AI solution or whatever.

I always assume the leader that makes that dumbass decision is secretly getting money under the table from the outsourced company. It's the only conclusion that ever adds up.

Not sure how far up the management chain I want to go. Right now as a PM I have only 2 reports under me. My trepidation is often challenged by current middle and upper management doing stupid shit that pisses me off though.
There's also career timing and such. With some of my retirement funds I"m hoping to retire at 60. That's only 16 years for me. If I count GAF, I've been posting with you all for longer. So like if I got an offer today for say division manager. I would probably pass. That offer comes 5 years until I"m 60 and I probably take it
We're understaffed at the moment, and most are away on summer break, so I took some calls today that got forwarded to me and got straight-up yelled at by a big customer for 15 minutes. I would've told them to shove it if that wouldn't have meant I'd be fired, lol.
It made me so fucking angry and i'm usually not rattled by anything. I have no clue how people who work with customers all day do it. I would jump off a bridge after a week of dealing with these fuckers.
