By Laboured Go To PostThink that would be a decent signing personally. For West Ham, certainly. But I'm pretty sure Tarkowski wants to force his way into Southgate'w England squad. Not sure West Ham is the right club for that. Rice is already there, but he's too good for his club anyway.

Fuck sake another 25 million we needed gone.
Our friendly with Napoli on Sunday might not happen as their president has tested positive for Covid. I was looking forward to it, we´ve only been facing weak teams.

Auba will still get us 30 or so goals this season easy
The only concern I see is with Horse's concern trolling.

"You calling me a prick? I'm a married man with 6 kids" is such a weird thing to say in response. What exactly does he think being called a prick implies?
By KidA Seven Go To PostDid the Spurs documentary have anything like this? No, it's very sanitised. The only real spice so far has been Rose v Mourinho

Hope the Auba deals announced tonight so we get a morale boost before Fulham, would only be missing the midfielders then
Don't think we will get Bakayoko. Chelsea won't budge from their valuation and Milan doesn't think Bakayoko is a €30m player. Florentino or Soumare it is.
Obviously the circumstances are entirely different but this transfer window we've still spent less than what we did in the 17/18 season... and those were all disappointing af except for Giroud.
Willy Caballero Free - whatever
Antonio Rüdiger £29m - okay
Tiémoué Bakayoko £40m - shit
Álvaro Morata £58m - shit but we somehow still sold him for a profit + loan fee
Davide Zappacosta £23m - shit
Danny Drinkwater £35m - up there with the worst transfer of the last few PL seasons
Ross Barkley £15m - varies from shit to okay
Emerson £17,5m - shit
Olivier Giroud £18m - good lad

meanwhile Federico Bernardeschi, Costa and Khedira are refusing to move.

Surprised Godin is unable to do a lot better than that.
By Laboured Go To PostOstensibly Arsenal are in a desperate enough position to need him this much, but a 3 year contract on massive money on a 31 yo striker whose pace is integral to his game ain't great. Most of Aubas goals with us have nothing to do with his pace tho
Auba relies less on his pace and more on doing smart movement around and in the box plus amazing finishing, man can definitely run but that is only part of what makes him lethal
By Laboured Go To PostNewcastle have gone mental.
Mike Ashley is going nuclear, I'm scared
Saying Auba doesn't rely on his pace is kind of a naive view that just thinks of pace as speed over 100m or something. As was just discussed a few pages ago, often the "fastest" players in a club seem really weird because they don't look fast on the football pitch.
What matters on the pitch is acceleration, especially over very short distances, and that's the thing that goes first with age. Players like Messi and Ronaldo can probably still run sub 11s 100m, but the half or quarter second they lose in the first 10m is what really holds them back as they age. Auba's "smart movement" almost certainly depends on that very short period of time where he just gets in front of someone, which will go as he ages.

He snubbed us in January, so I don't know why we'd go back in now. Our budget was quoted at £30 mil, we've spent that, had no outgoings....it doesn't make sense

Could be Lille trying to drum up interest. That tends to be how they operate.
Yeah, Soumare has previously been linked to near every PL team, but apparently nothing has really materialised this summer

That is infinitely more likely than us going back in
Good to see both getting renewed contracts, Joelson's clause has risen to 60M€ and Bragança to 45M€.
Daniel Bragança might turn out to be one of the surprise's of the season, he was loaned to Estoril last season and ended up winning the award of Best Young Player of the 2nd division. He started as someone who was probably was going to be loaned again but he has been pretty impressive for the past few friendlies, there's a good chance he stays.
By Diego! Go To Postit's so odd how he did great for Dortmund and Palace but completely flopped at Valencia and in his Chelsea seasons
By sohois Go To Postit's so odd how he did great for Dortmund and Palace but completely flopped at Valencia and in his Chelsea seasonsHe did well with a coach that managed that team for a little bit over 6 months to stabilize the team. He did and Bats did a good job, but it's also quite telling that Dortmund never really tried to sign him up afterwards, despite the need for a striker.
Shows you that they just weren't really convinced of him.

Expected Mourinho to be a lot more rigid than he's looking like on the series
Wish I could watch it on fucking prime. Having to download it on 1080 compared to what it should be (4k) it's a disgrace to technology and humanity
