By rossonero Go To PostIt's either Zidane, Pochetino or Simone Inzaghi for Juve now according to the rumors. Is any of them better than Allegri?Imagine Zidane goes to Juve and stocks up on league titles for his CV. Would there be anyone in history with his CV?
Pochettino is absolutely the right choice. Can’t believe he has doubters. So he didn’t win a league cup, whatever. Look what he did to that club.
Inzaghi would be an underwhelming choice. How is what he’s done any better than Gasperini, or Pochettino?

this is a failure on an executive level as well, I'm not sure how you can demand good football with that midfield.

Yeah, Paratici done fucked up lol. Rabiot was a disaster of a signing.
Arthur and Bentacur need to be starting every week next season.

Pretty much honestly.
Pirlo, Vidal, Marchisio, Pogba to Pjanic, Ramsey, Rabiot, and Bentancur.
They are good players, but not the type to take Juve to the next level.
Now who's going buy Jorginho? 😭
Brutal on the old man though. Thought he perhaps could have been given a second full non-pandemic season.
How was his relationship with Ronaldo?

Sarri is a good coach, Juve has midfield trouble. Whoever is responsible for the recruitment in that area is just as much at fault for their performances this season. Even their defence needs a bit of work.

It’s a tricky one, isn’t it. Ultimately, you hire Sarri for the process and the hope that his football clicks. It didn’t. But then you sign Arthur, who seems made for that style, and maybe in the second year it all comes together. But now they have to start from scratch again (which I guess is where more adaptable managers like Allegri and Inzaghi come in).
Have to think they have a contingency hire already in mind. The transfer window is open; players are switching clubs; they can't wait around like a normal summer.
Fully agree that Poch makes too much sense not to at least try and see what he can do with their roster. They're so close in Europe.

Madueka scores a hat trick in a friendly for PSV. Doesn't mean much, but Spurs need to be able to keep their young talents. Lost Omari Forson to United last year too. Lost Marcus Edwards who is doing really well in Portugal.
Especially when you're not going to be spending the same amount of money as other clubs.

I do like to see big clubs gamble on their coaches, taking a risk. That said I'm not optimistic about Gerrard.
This is beyond funny but I wish Juve all the best. If I had a choice between Poch and Ole even now, I'd go with Poch. Who knows, it might work out.
By Xpike Go To Postthink people have definitely taken the wrong lessons from Arteta and Zidane
Mate
It’s Pep that started all of this
If he had failed then we wouldn’t be balls deep in this madness
Yeah, Mou also started a bit of a trend of hiring outside professional or high profile ex-footballers
Lampard, Ole, and Zidane all feel like similar managers. None are Klopp or Pep with their distinct style. None are really punching above their weight. They facilitate the talent on the pitch do the talking, and they get the fans/players behind club as a whole.
Has Pirlo actually coached at any level? I'm sure I read somewhere that Juve u23's was his first coaching role and he only got that job a month ago. Don't think they've played a game yet.
Poch has been flirting with the Barca job, aye.
Pirlo... I think just got appointed to the youff teams Cleffinho. Must've been a hell of a week for him. He'd been saying he didn't want to jump into a big seat so soon and do the legwork instead.

Who was the earliest really successful player manager? Dalglish is the obvious one that stands out to me, but there must have been someone before him
Pep was 10+ years ago, he didn't start the trend now. Lampard, Ole, Arteta, Zidane, now that is a trend

Pirlo?!?! Surely I'm hallucinating from gorging myself on free Popeye's. I must've fallen into a coma. 2020 is taking the piss.
