I just can't actually even be bothered with us playing Wolves again. They are a profoundly boring team to play against.
By Meier Go To PostBale should not take a financial hit. He'd be fucking crazy to do so. What else does he have to prove? Ride the contract out and just see what happens next. He's had fitness problems.. it's probably really nice to not have your body ache all the time but to still get paid like you'd be in a situation where it would. Him and Ozil are just getting what they're owed. No issue at all from my perspective. Is playing football always about proving something though? And if it is, you prove it and call it a day? Where is the will to do it again? What kind of attitude is this lmao. I mean he isn't even playing, he's just sitting there rotting his career away. I kinda feel bad for the guy. Ohh wow, he's making millions sitting... Is that somehow impresive in the perspective of seeing him as an athlete and not a business? He's arguably at a decline in his career but still a top talent, I mean he's won us how many finals just in the past few years alone, he 's still got a lot to give.
Buendia will be a good buy for some club.
Ozil is another whole level of fucked up too, so lazy, uninspired, no motivation or will... Just screams awful to me.
Props to Sanchez for atleast trying somewhere else, he too could have just sat there, instead he's giving it another go elsewhere - you gotta respect that. It can't just be about money, I refuse to believe that. Maybe I'm different.
You are different. I totally understand sitting on my ass and collecting my coins after winning almost a handful of Champions Leagues
I just think he's happy chilling and playing golf in Spain having achieved a lot and then treated like shit by the club and fans, and is quite happy to earn £64m doing fuck all for the next two years before retiring and never having to worry about work or money for the rest of his entire life.

The club and fans don't appreciate him, so treats them the same and they whine

Now I am become Kyoufu, doer of fuck all
Gareth Bale won every trophy there is to win, and he himself was primarily responsible for most of their cup wins. He scored winners and most of them were onside unlike his buddy the tax evading rapist Cristiano Penaldo.
Yet his own fanbase rejected him. I hope he sits on the bench while earning what he is due.

Shame whats happened to Bale.
He should be knocking on the Balloon Door for the last 2-3 years/
when was the last time he played?

His career is almost over -- this is just one of the chapters of it. He'll be 33 when his Madrid contract is over and he could go play for a few more years in any number of places.. or he could call it a day and just play golf like he's passionate about.

These guys play the game to become stars so that they can make the most money possible. That's the end goal for all of them. If it was just about love of the sport, they'd never leave to go to bigger clubs. More money is the end goal for everyone really. You want to get the most money you can so you're as comfortable as possible for the rest of your life. Bale reached the pinnacle of the sport in just about every conceivable way -- he's got trophies galore, so at this point and at his age, there is only a paycheck that matters. Ride it out, enjoy his time. He's done his bit. Good for him.

By Meier Go To PostHopefully not a precursor to you guys getting Camavinga. He's 17... I doubt it lol.

Anyways, Bale does Bale, either way it changes nothing.
I think it depends, there are some that geniunely love the game, there are some that are just essentially good at their jobs and just go for a paycheck, and Bale was the second
You can love it and also love money
I'm sure there were many teams that could have offered Ronaldo more than what juve did, yet he picked juve
There's a balance in there but the money is of course priority

By Laboured Go To PostGiven thee prices quoted for him and Chelsea's current priorities almost certainly not.Whew, I see Rennes apparently turned down (or are willing to turn down) €80m from Madrid. Good for them.

By KidA Seven Go To PostMy Arsenal supporting brother kept moaning about him, although not quite as much as about Holding.
Thought Arsenal were quiet on the left side for the most part. Thought everything was going through the right. Well apart from the 2 moments for the goals.
I didn’t realise you were Brazilian .

By domino Go To Postwashed Nani still ballin and doing backflipsReminder that we let him go for free because his wages were too high only to go and get Bolasie and Jesé on loan...
He's never going to leave, but there's no doubt that Barcelona have missed out on more trophies due to board level incompetence.
