By inky Go To PostBarca just want a big fee out of this, and they are likely to get something. He has like 8 months left in his contract, the greatest player we've ever ever had and doesn't want to stay, this will be a rebuilding season and he's getting older.
They shouldn't expect a big fee. Accept a €20 mil bid and stop wasting time. #LetHimGo #prisoner
If he gets taken to court it'll be the most embarrassing thing the clubs done, and there have been many examples in the past.
By FootbalIFan Go To PostAh hope you're wrong man. Wish you luck ♥️
By Wahabipapangus Go To PostFather Noah that fucking sucks man, sorry I missed that. Allah will be with you on your journey for new better knees.
Cheers lads. Will be a couple of weeks before I know for definite. But the pains I have been having feel awfully familiar. Hey ho!

#mesqueunclub 🤭
If we sign VDB I assume that's our interest in Grealish ended. They don't play in the same position, but if money is limited and we're still after Sancho then I guess it's one or the other.
If Messi wants to leave he'll leave and have lawyers figure the rest out.
Shame it's going to be for City but I trust Mustafi will have him in his pocket

This means that even if Messi does breach his contract he'd only have to pay Barca 100m or so, meaning yeah there isn't much Barca is gonna do to stop him leaving

Enough with this naive crap.
If Messi decided he no longer wanted to play and dedicated his life to golf, or had a career ending injury, guess what would happen.
Let’s stop pretending a guy who gets paid a million a week to kick a ball is a victim because he signed a contract.
Fucking Christ man, mas que un club una mierda, it’s not even bigger than one player if some of the fans are to be believed.

By Xpike Go To PostIt's Spain. Clubs have their clauses set. There is no "there's no clause".

Either they made mistake with the clause or it's just clickbait shit.

Lmao. Every Spanish contract is required to have a release clause.
Barça won't force Messi to do anything, he's their biggest player ever, they don't want to end on bad terms with him.
But he also won't leave on a free.
Barça will get about 100m elizas for him and everyone will be happy about it.

By Cleff Go To PostHannibal Mejbri scored for the U23's today. Only 17 years old. Looks a top quality prospect. He is a top quality prospect. Always quality touches and calm to make the best of a situation under pressure. Much better at this aspect than Gomes, Garner, Levitt, etc... Can dribble to lead a break (not going to dribble past players like a winger), can deliver a through pass, and has a lot of energy.
He's a very well rounded midfielder. Could become a great box to box midfielder. Bit of a cunt too which is great.
You lads never watched the anime, huh? It was basically a religion over here.
We spent our childhoods trying to recreate the ridiculous shit from the show. Trying to jump off the goalposts, double shots, bicycle kicks.

By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostLmao. Every Spanish contract is required to have a release clause.I’ve actually found out recently that this is not entirely true. Athletic just renewed their keeper Unai Simón last week without a clause. Same with Muniain recently. If there is no clause in place, an external party/judge sets the value of the fee and neither side has a say in the matter. To avoid this, the clubs effectively always include one because it would generally be higher since presumably it would be the remaining value of the wages in the contract only. There’s a very real chance there is language in the contract which would remove the release clause in the final year of it as there is actually not a requirement to have one in place.
Doherty is a great signing for us and apparently Levy agreed to pay only £13.4m with no add-ons. We’re doing a good job finding value in the market so far.
So Aurier is definitely leaving then. It seems that we would be back for him if we manage to sell one of our RBs....
I can’t see us spending £100m on Messi.
No chance.
It tears up everything the club has been trying to do with signings over the past few years.
But then again this is Messi. So who knows.

Not that I’d turn him down, but if we got him and van de Beek, bit odd to think that Pogba/Bruno/VdB/Thiago would all be battling for two places while our right wing back up to an 18 year old is Jesse Lingard lol

N8:
It would be an odd signing were it to happen as he doesn't fit the profile of player we're looking for age or position wise. But if he's available it's a no brainer. Still think he'll end up at Liverpool, but it's worth exploring the possibility. Could end up signing VDB and Thiago for roughly what Grealish would cost. I'm a big fan of the latter, but it's a no brainer to get those two instead.

Do we take nourishment from their sovereignless souls?
First friendly, first injury to key player after 20 min already. Love to see it. Now we are soon forced to play useless Oviedo again, one of the worst footballers ive ever seen in Copenhagen, after his return from Sunderland.
Cadena SER and others in Spain now claim they have inspected Messi's contract and the €700m release clause is not valid for the 2020-21 season.
If you were Spain or a Spanish government official, would you let Messi leave a Spanish club and let La Liga lose massive interest?
