By GQman2121 Go To PostI know Tomori has been listed as a loan cadet, and that's fine and makes sense, but I'd really hope we can outright offload Christensen on someone. He's hard to watch play. And the last two years is enough to see he doesn't have it.
Yeah I would happily see the back of Christensen.
How I see our 25 man squad assuming we don't make any other major signings apart from a keeper
Goalkeepers - New GK, Cabellero, Youth Keeper
CBs - Silva, Zouma, Rudiger, Tomori,
FBs - Chillwell, Alonso, James, Azpi
CDMS - Kante, Gilmour, Kovacic, Ampadu
CAMS - Havertz, Mount, Loftus Cheek, Gallagher
Wingers - Ziyech, Pulisic, CHO
CFs - Werner, Giroud, Abraham
Bin - Jorghino, Barkley, Emerson, Christensen, Zappacosta, Drinkwater, Bakayoko, Kepa, Baba Rahman, Kenedy, Van Ginkle, Batshuayi, Piazon, Musonda
By Ushojax Go To PostChelsea are making promising signings but it will be a challenge to integrate so many players at once, especially as so many are meant for the first XI. Werner, Ziyech, Chilwell, Havertz, Silva plus a new keeper, that's a lot of changes at once. It was a disaster when we tried to do it after selling Bale so it will be interesting to see how Lampard handles it.
Never forget that window lol
Seems athletico closing in on there partey replacement.

I think there's probably more proven quality amongst the Chelsea signings - Silva is such a known quality, Chilwell is PL tested already (whereas Soldado was probably the only one of your signings to have a proven track record) - and I think that the rest of their squad is strong enough to compensate, whereas you lost your best player by a mile. Chelsea haven't lost anyone; they're just adding onto what is already a side that qualified for the Champions League.
Can't see Silva starting every week at his age, to be honest. He's there just as much for his experience and leadership than he is for the time he'll actually spend on the pitch.
On paper, it's a very good summer for them so far really, but there's still big question marks: do they manage to replace Kepa adequately enough? Will someone flourish alongside Silva? Will Kante stay fit? Will Lampard manage to keep so many players happy? For the six MF/FW positions, they have eleven or twelve options, which is great for squad depth - but Abraham is potentially third choice striker now. Hudson-Odoi has seen Willian and Pedro leave and Ziyech and Havertz come to take his place when it finally looked open to him. Is average fuckin' Barkley going to get game time that could be going to Loftus-Cheek?
All of a sudden there's expectation on Lampard that he did not have last season. Interested to see how it goes.
By bud Go To Posteveryone seems super excited about chelsea signing a 36 year old defender.
To be fair, he did just play very well in a run to the Champions League final.
Can see Mount and Barkley used in a front 3 from time to time if necessary.
Also, Pulisic is likely going to miss the first month-ish of games recovering and regaining fitness from that hammy at Wembley. So Hudson-Odoi or even Werner will be on the left flank.

Nice jersey.
Speaking of, I've ordered some perfectly legit non-counterfeits off dhgate 😶
Oh I need that jersey!
By Perfect Blue Go To PostChelsea are in for Dollarumma, it looks like.
He will cost at least 50-60m, if not a hell of a lot more. Younger and better than Kepa.

to be fair chelsea are essentially doing 2 seasons worth of transfers
they'll still get knocked out on the ro16

Fucking hate the way those ITK journalists go on. "Punished to the corner shop is a done deal. Agreement for milk and caramel digestives. HERE WE GO. @skywestofthebann #Punished #Spar"
By Kidjr Go To PostWhy do people hate ITK journalists so muchBecause they don’t get everything 100% right
People have the wrong idea of what ITK means
If your name is Phil Brown and you change it to Pilib De Brun, you can get to fuck.
If it was the other way around however...

Guaranteed 3 months of good football, 2 months of injuries, and 7 of bench
We have our first pre season match on TV tonight. The other two games were a 0-2 defeat against our B team and a 1-2 against Farense (who lost 4-1 to Benfica 3 days later) with Ryan Gauld scoring the winning goal, a player we let go on a free transfer to Farense.
Thank God I have my sister's birthday tonight so I'll probably won't be able to watch the game.

Pros: Very good with the ball, tons of confidence, smart player with an ability to dribble wanting to make something happen. Very postive player.
Cons: Needs more time on the pitch to develop (obviously) and can gain some strength to fend off tougher tackles.
He's good, get excited.
By recon_zero Go To PostIt's sad but it's true, he could never stay fit.

He's apparently taking a huge (50%) reduction in pay to join Everton, poor guy.
