By Yurtlicious Go To Postthanks penny and domino -_-I would love to be wrong and he's still young, but his best season was 16/17 and 17/18 when Schalke overperformed and he played his first seasons for them. He had some promise, but ever since Schalke went from the 2nd to the 14th place in the season that followed and they fired Tedesco, it all went downhill.
Now he has to play everywhere because their squad is thin and they barely got any quality left.
At least he is someone that works quite a bit. Maybe Agnelli just wants to sell more Fiats in the US and needs a US face to associate it with the J brand :P
By Yurtlicious Go To Postwho/what the hell is Weston McKennieI'm sorry to hear that lol
he's having his medical soon
By FootbalIFan Go To PostI don't think anybody sees it that wayI mean I get the "let a club legend leave for free or retire early" sentiment for such a deserved player.
Or at least majority don't
But to leave for free during a global pandemic when Barca needs cash (and you know the clubs interested in him would easily pay whatever it takes), 2 weeks before the season starts when Barca clearly wanted a long enough notice (initial May deadline) and with the whole club clearly in shambles (players, coach, board)... oof, that just rubs me the wrong way.
I can also understand Messi being angry with all the shit the club has done in the last years but I don't know, be the better man and give them one last cheque and call it a day is what I'd say. And then have a laugh if they spend it all on Choupo-Moting.
I got the impression that Barca had been bending over backwards for years now to accomodate Messi.
I am glad though that he is moving on. Felt like a waste that he never showcased his incredible talent outside of Spain and I will look forward to City playing at Stamford Bridge if they sign him and if we are ever allowed back into stadiums.

^id agree milch but the club don't deserve a penny
Him leaving for free is what I'm hoping for, not because he's a club legend, not because he's the goat, not because I have some principles that makes me think he deserved it, it's because the board deserves to have their failure punished with the cherry on top and having the biggest legend the club has ever had for nearly 20 years leave for free is the best way to end it.
If he left to Madrid then I'd probably judge him. Anywhere else though, spread your wings m8.
We're probably going to suck for a good 2-4 seasons but I'm just hoping it's more of a Madrid/inter/bayern type slump not a Manchester United/AC Milan type situation.

Yeah, I get it. I'm pretty sure Barca will reinvent itself, I don't think the competition is tough enough to permanently drop to EL or below spots in La Liga with all the financial power and general appeal to players you guys have.
But as a non-Barca supporter it would have been an even better story if they would have gotten a stellar fee for Messi and bought another Dembele. Preferably from BVB if you know what I mean lol

This is offside according to this buggy ass videogame and VAR...
On second thought, FM might be the most realistic game ever made.

Copenhagen got Willianed with Pione Sisto it seems. Had everything done, and he leaves as he is about to have his medical, as Midtjylland gave him an offer (which is DOUBLE what they pay anyone else in their team...). He asks for time to think about it, and Ståle Solbakken tells him no. You do this now or you fuck off, and he did the latter. Copenhagen then released a statement saying they stopped negotiations with him.
But now it actually sounds like Midtjylland dont even have the money for him lmao, so he might just end up going back in Celta Vigo again. What a weird fucking lad. What a terrible leak as well. Some fans fucking found the private plane, and drove after the cars from the tiny airport where it landed, to confirm it was him.... just for this. xd

and to make it a stranger day, we threw out ALL our stadium sponsors for every stand and for the stadium name sponsor, in the middle of this pandemic where we are bleeding money hard, due to owning a bunch of side business that are completely closed.

Got confused there. Remember Sisto playing for Midtjylland when Rashford came through and kinda assumed he'd stayed there.

He went to Celta Vigo and did pretty damn well for a long time. One season he has second most assists, only after Messi. But he is a weird lad. For example he has been on a juice diet for months.... and then he had months where he only ate fruit. Not exactly something the staff at a club are excited about.
He then also this year drove home (actually drove himself) to Denmark when Corona happened. 3,000 fucking km, when his club had already told him he wasnt allowed to leave. He also did dumb shit, like leak transfers. Like he uploaded instagram videos of him and his teamm8s talking about a player leaving and so on.
So in the end, I guess more trouble than what is worth it. He's a weird lad, but very good at his best.

Ahhhh fuck I remember now
Sisto was actually linked with us a few days ago, I am hoping we are aiming for something a bit better.
I hope Barca don’t get a penny for him and they revert to irrelevancy.
Club has conducted some of the worst tampering I have ever seen for nearly two decades.
Fuck that club.
Sorry FF.

Just the idea of seeing horrible humans like Busquets and Alba having to suffer professionally makes it all worth it.

Man I am fuming. Of course we fucking lose to Guayaquil City after having beaten Emelec. They always use the same cowardly anti-fútbol tactic of sitting ten back in their half of the field after scoring a lucky goal against the run of play. The officiating was shit with some dubious calls and no consistency in carding. The day those shit cunts are relegated again I'm going to shoot fireworks.
The City briefs are already in place; it seems inevitable.
One can only hope they are as toothless as when they play for Argentina, and fucks like KDB, Sterling and Silva get unsettled over money after Messi starts earning the GDP of a small nation.

probably depends how much blood that money's got on it tbh. Too clean and he'll say no.

Chelsea will play a friendly away at Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday with some home fans allowed access after the game was approved by the government as a trial event for the return of supporters to stadiums.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, matches have been played in front of empty stands since football resumed following lockdown in June, but our pre-season fixture at the Amex Stadium at 3pm this Saturday has been named as one of a small number of events being used to trial the lifting of the government ban on mass gatherings.
As a result, 2,500 Brighton season ticket holders and members will be allowed to watch.
2,500 is about a 1k more people than the amount that died (1,260) in the US over the last 24 hours.

The court has confirmed Vitória de Setúbal's relegation to the third tier so now the league calendar draw can finally happen tomorrow.
As I had mentioned previously, the league had denied their registration in the professional leagues due to debts and unpaid taxes.
They appealed but the court confirmed the league's decision and so Setúbal stumbles down to the third tier.
They are one of the most historical clubs in the league with 72 seasons in the Portuguese top flight making them the 6th club with more seasons, behind Benfica, Porto, Sporting, Belenenses and Guimarães but this has been a long time coming.
Almost every year they have trouble paying salaries, some times the players are not getting paid for 2 or 3 months. They've only kept surviving because of some shaddy deals with Benfica like Jhonder Cádiz, who Benfica paid 2.5M€ for last year but his already on his second loan without even playing a minute for Benfica and will probably never do so.
