Tbh prolly the best result for Barca is that all of Messi, Koeman and the board all fuck off into the Sun.

By Laboured Go To PostTbh prolly the best result for Barca is that all of Messi, Koeman and the board all fuck off into the Sun.Board really don't want Barto to resign because they would have to personally assume any losses for the current period if he does. Arthur's swap was a last ditch effort to avoid that, but now they're have to pay off 2 managers and incur massive losses from that change. In a way, most of them would probably be OK with cashing out on Messi for a few hundred million instead.

You have to wonder why some big clubs (read: us) just don't seem to be very good at scouting. Like, I understand there's more pressure and less time for the likes of Maguire, Chilwell, etc. to settle in at a club like us, but when was the last time we made a great signing that wasn't for fucking extortionate amounts of money? Van Persie? Suppose van Gaal's years had some decent buys on paper.
It has been suggested that a more creative deal is being explored where Messi could be employed by the City Football Group, which owns clubs in every continent, and would initially play for City in the Premier League and then finish his career in Major League Soccer in the United States, playing for New York City FC.
Other possibilities for suitor clubs would be for Messi to be paid separately as an ambassador — for example if Qatar-owned Paris Saint Germain were to sign him then the club could make introductions for him to be employed as an ambassador for a Qatar-related organisation.
I like how they don't even bother to hide it anymore
We are incompetent on the market, but we are stocking up on foetuses still. Some might make it in the coming years.

That can't be true, Barcelona can't be this fucking incompetente
This is surreal...
By Laboured Go To PostThis does all feel a little bit like Arsenal signing defenders last summer.
Tierney > Chilwell
Silva > Luiz
cedric > havertz
I also think there should be actual laws against Man City, of all clubs, being able to get fucking Lionel Messi on a fucking free. Not just like, something in the PL or FA handbook though, but by the Government/NATO/UN. Crimes against footballing humanity, that's what it is. I don't remember the Tim Ream's of this world being particularly good when they were in the PL two years ago. He plays football to provide a stable income for his family, he didn't sign up to be humiliated by Messi, KDB, Aguero, B. Silva, Mahrez and Foden at the same time, it's got to be under cruel and unusual punishment.
Henderson with the 6 year contract
Because arbitrarily long contracts always work out well in football
(I'm actually absolutely fine with this news)

Chelsea going all out.
Romero to leave? Unless he doesn’t mind riding the bench until someone gets injured.

I'm confident we are trying to offload Romero regardless of what he wants. Never showed him any respect and we are not going to start now.
guess he gets loaned out again? not sure why he would be happy as No2 unless Ole says hes starting.
But then DDG is 2nd....

A six year deal is a huge show of faith in Henderson. Also a rocket up De Gea's arse.
Must be the end for Romero.

hopefully Dejan Kulusevski is proper good and not just another Bernardeschi
it's weird but ironically Berna is super in europe but not in Italy so might be worth keeping around

pep made it to the semis.
psg made it to the final. once.
is that really that big of a difference? it's one match.

One could argue that since PSG will steamroll the league, and their schedule being softer, then PSG might have a better chance to win it.

Given what they spend etc.
I doubt PSG will get to the final next year either, they got SO many positions need to work on. Meunier, Cavani, Silva gone.
Alot of players aren't really up to the standard like Draxler, Kehrer and many more.
PSG really benefited from the one leg system this year. They would have struggled with the pressure of two legged ties.
Chelsea gonna have half a new team next year, lol.
Still think with Kepa there they need to fucking pray that Kante and Silva will stay fit.

The strange bit is that GK transfer rumours for us have all but faded away. At a time it was Onana, then Oblak for a bit, then rumours that we want Ter Stegen, Nick Pope an option, and then Rennes GK Edouard Mendy was mentioned for like a day. After that though, radio silence lol. Something is surely happening behind the scenes with regards to a GK/Kepa.
]Schmeichel’s absence was felt in a lengthy transition between his departure to Sporting Lisbon in 1999 and Van der Sar’s arrival in 2005 when United tried nine different goalkeepers. (Athletic)United signed some guff in that period. Chancing their hands on Karius-types.
