Messi will get the full value of what he wants at City. Y’all don’t realize how wealthy Mansour and Al Mubarak are, its grotesque. They could pay for a squad of 11 Messis and not blink.

But yeah if Messi wants to go there it will be done, especially since apparently it would be on a free transfer
I actually rescind my desire to see him just anywhere in the PL yesterday, even if that included City.
I'd happily see him anywhere else - hell, even Liverpool - but City would be boring and actually devalue what I think of him and Guardiola. Can't function without each other. Bitches.

£500k p/w on the club's books, £500k+ not on the club's books.
By Pennywise Go To PostI doubt he really cares about money at this point of his career.I don't know man, I hope you are right but if he didn't care about money why would he try to avoid taxes. Fuck rich people lol
I’ve seen Messi play twice but would be good to see him again regardless of who he’s playing for. The reality is if he wants to win things in the Premier League then he goes to City or Liverpool. And the former is much more likely than the latter, given his salary and personnel at City
its a shame he didnt leave earlier, at 33 if he wants to win trophies he needs to essentially go to a squad that has already been built. maybe if he was younger he would've considered joining a club that's rebuilding
By n8 dogg Go To PostWould fucking love for him to turn up at Newcastle, imagine.
I’ve run the vox pops through my imagination and decided that I would not like it

At no stage of his career would he have considered Arteta’s Arsenal, let’s be clear on that

He netted 79 goals for Barcelona and 12 for Argentina - in a total of 69 games for club and country.

If he can win Serie A with them boys then the debate would be over.
Surely in comparison to Totti you would declare him to be a false false 9?
this "Messi to the PL stuff" sounds cute and all now but you'll hate it when he scores a bazillion goals, CIty walks the league, and their fans get to crow forever about having the GOAT
he can gone somewhere else w/ all that

you can't compare apples to oranges m8
messi has never brought a smile to moyes' face like welbeck did in the opening day 4-1 win at swansea city, so they're pretty even imo
By bud Go To Postit's the only way pep ever wins a champions league again.
I believe that Messi has one CL bullet in his chamber yet, regardless the team.
By n8 dogg Go To Posthttps://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52832303It blew my mind when I learned Messi won his first La Liga player of the month award in January 2016 lmao.

Give him the 01 shirt.
By Laboured Go To PostYeah if we're going by Smiles Per Game (SPG) Welbeck's unparalleled.
Bailly and Rafael 2nd and 3rd in the Ballon d’Or rankings
By domino Go To Postthis "Messi to the PL stuff" sounds cute and all now but you'll hate it when he scores a bazillion goals, CIty walks the league, and their fans get to crow forever about having the GOATBut on the other hand imagine what happens when Laporte gets injured again and Messi watches as Stones and Ake contrive to get knocked out of the CL by Celtic
he can gone somewhere else w/ all that
Would hate to see Messi's legacy be tarnished by getting trotted out from the bench the minute City need saving. "We're down 2-0 at West Brom Lionel, please work your magic" Guardiola cried while Laporte was again questioning which side of the pitch he's supposed to defend on.
By Xpike Go To PostMessi and Leeds to the PL
Coincidence?
This would be a baller move. Guardiola as assistant manager to Bielsa.
De Bruyne will still be disgustingly good in a slightly deeper role I think

By Perfect Blue Go To PostPurple GAF thread about Messi has posters seriously saying the PL will be too tough for him lmaooooYouu can't be surprised m8
Vardy to score more EPL goals next season than Messi nailed on. You cannot simply beat a man powered by WKD.
tbh i can see the cunt teams just going straight for Messi's ankles and Mike Dean only giving a yellow as a warning to teach Messi how they do things around here
To lose the best player of all time in this manner is so Barcelona.
I am happy for him. He always gave it his all and elevated the club to heights it had never reached before. I hope he succeeds at City or wherever he ends up, because he has given football so much over the years and the least he deserves is a project or squad that gives him the opportunity to actually compete and a board that is not actively trying to undermine everything he stands for.
Barcelona honestly deserve this end for not getting rid of the executives after Rosell was jailed, instead Luis Enrique won the treble and all the faults were pushed to the wayside as the socios bought into the hype and voted Bart in for another term, a mistake the club will take a long long time to recover from. Messi staying at the club would be a huge mistake, for both parties at this point. He needs a winning project and the club need to rebuild at every level.
Can not believe he stuck around for so long and after so many missteps from the board. Yet, somehow he still dragged us to titles even through this period, because he was and is that good.
Leaving probably hurts him more than it will the fans of the club.
We were all lucky to witness the greatest player ever to play the game to the standard that he did week in and week out. Barcelona were lucky to have him.

Obviously Messi is gonna go to MLS since it’s the retirement league, but 3 years seems too soon
