By Killer7 Go To PostCant wait till we sign nobody until the last week of the transfer window and then get Douglas Costa last minute, only for him to get injured during the 1st game.If that happens..
By Pennywise Go To PostCould have had Upamecano, Hakimi, Haaland, Bellingham. Which would have solved alot of your problems already. We're not going to spend that much on another RB after spending so much on AWB. Bellingham chose Dortmund. We even rolled out Fergie to convince him. And Bellingham isn't the type of midfielder that United are missing in the starting lineup. He's an 8 like Pogba, who likes to affect the match in similar ways to Pogba albeit in a less flashy way. I wanted him because I watched him a couple of times for England's youth teams and he really impressed me, so I was marking him as a future standout. United need a defensive midfielder, or really anyone that can gravitate towards the ball, be the most comfortable in possession, and distribute it really well. Barring that, a more defensive midfielder that can cover for Pogba and Bruno more than Matic can.
Not bothered about Haaland when we have Greenwood and Martial.
Sancho is a player that can play with Greenwood for 10+ years. He's proven a lot for his age, and someone United should try and get at all costs. You don't pass up on those kind of talents at that age. He can play on either wing, which helps United rotate all 4 forward players. He can bench both Rashford on the left, and Greenwood on the right.
United currently have a lot of young pieces like the Chelsea depth pieces before they had great loans. So waiting a year before splurging is the ideal situation. They could all fail, or we could pick up a nice depth piece pending a good loan. We're not good enough to compete next season anyways, so the long term outlook is more important and why Sancho would be a good signing.

If it wasn't so terrifying it'd be an unbelievable comic bit.

By Dan Go To PostMaguire wasn’t signed for his thinking abilites.
Surely Maguire's first thought should be to stop the cross?!
The ball's well beyond him. No idea why he turns that way though. Can only guess he's looking for a player to mark in case the ball ends up at the edge of the box, but from what I can tell basically every centreback instinctively sprints towards the 6 yard line when they don't know what's behind them in the box.
Not really on Maguire, that. Both full backs get beaten and De Gea’s also not covering his near post.

I think if Hart accepts he is second choice and gets his attitude right he'd be a decent asset at most squads in the league.

He'll be 3rd choice.
Odd move from his point of view. Guess he has no interest in playing.
When you let chances like that go begging in a European Semi final - You will be punished.
The more of them we missed the more I realised we had lost the game.
Shit on the defence all day, but the forwards let us down equally, especially Rashford - would have hooked him on the 70th minute and brought Ighalo on.

He will be third choice, not second. A cheap home grown player to replace Vorm, he will be our Rob Green.

By Ushojax Go To PostHe will be third choice, not second. A cheap home grown player to replace Vorm, he will be our Rob Green.Reminded me of Stuart Taylor. His career was wasted. 34 PL games, 31 Championship games, 10 League 1 games, 4 CL games, 2 UEFA cup, 9 League Cup and 4 FA cup. Less than 100 professional club games in a 19 year career.
Thought we'd see media briefs about potential new signings/DoF to mask our elimination from the CL. I'm surprised.
Rashford has the speed to beat any defender. He didn't need to need to slow down and try and trick his way past.
By FortuneFaded Go To PostHave to hand it to him, great player.

What a player, even if he couldn't perform in finals
Outside of messi and Ronaldo I'm not sure there was a player that consistent for that period of time. Totti probably actually tbf before shanks edits this post.
Honestly I remember tuning in and being almost guaranteed magic week in week out. I've seen players hit those heights in the epl for maybe one or two seasons, but 5 straight seasons of insanity is incredible. I'm not talking about the goals either, the guy was soooo complete.

Best player I've ever seen live at the SoL. He got a standing ovation off the entire stadium when he went off one time he played up here.

but the best team you've ever seen are brendan rodgers' swansea side
Igor Tudor to join Pirlo's backroom staff. Remember he was world class in CM4.

It was a real treat. Not only did we get to see the world famous Brendan Rodger's Swansea City, we also beat them quite easily. At the end we weren't celebrating the 3 points, we were showing our appreciation to BRod and his talented troupe.
One thing about Henry which I always forget for some reason is how fast he was, so much powerful pace at any given time. What a joy to watch.
