Long story short, its gud.

By Laboured Go To PostHow Tenchu is it brother DY?That's.... not a bad comp. But the stealth stuff is a breeze. The AI just lets it happen early on.
Its not really all that reliant on stealth though. The only time you really 'need' to use stealth is for completing objectives like releasing hostages as they'll be executed if alarms are raised.
By Lunatic Go To PostI feel like the game is unfinished with regards to the AI. My only major gripe. It gets a little better in Act 2.
Play with Japanese audio or English? Obv it's made by English speaking developers, but there's a great temptation to stick with Japanese audio for Roronoa Zoro's VA.

The only reason I'm playing in English is because the lip syncing isn't setup for Japanese.
I'm enjoying this more now that I'm getting more comfortable with the combat. I liberated a dojo and the boss fight at the end was intense, loved it.

By /sy Go To Posthows the main character? been watching a playthrough and he seems dull afJin isn't bad. He's got a serious Mad Max thing going on though.
By DY_nasty Go To PostJin isn't bad. He's got a serious Mad Max thing going on though.yeah, seems like a wet noodle.
On another note, I like alot of the clothing options. Will probably pick it up at PS5 launch.
Is the main story enjoyable enough? I'm not expecting TLoU standard stuff, but at least something that isn't a complete mess and keeps you interested.
By You got 14 bricks right there? Go To PostI like it, something funny about playing a flute after you slice and dice a group of people.
By Lunatic Go To PostI feel like the game is unfinished with regards to the AI. My only major gripe.apparently when the difficulty ramps up slightly later it's due to the mobs adapting to you and having more ways to counter your skillset, which sounds delightful. Hate it when they just bump up their healths and call it a day
the AI in stealth is always pants tho
By Cleff Go To PostStandoffs are a nice little feature. Can see them getting very repetitive soon though.Their use changes so much over the course of the game. At first you do it just to kill a guy. Later you've got so many tools and options that it's nothing more than a way to build meter fast or in some instances clear the entire encounter at once .
By Laboured Go To Postbruhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh lmao
Love when the foliage and vegetation actually reacts to movement. Hated the static environment in Horizon.
By Smokey Go To PostIn a gaming rut.
Just bought this off the strength of brother DYs energy.
Pls b good.
Shameful practices.

Played it for about 5.5 hrs today. It does look pretty good. There are some spots where it looks average, but for the most part, yeah, it's top tier. The HDR is pretty amazing too.
As for the game itself, I kept getting caught up in side missions, which tends to happen in these types of games for me. It does seem like your standard open world game though, at least so far, just set in Japan. I'm sort of burnt out on that, but playing it for close to 6 hours in a sitting at least for me, is a good sign.
So far so good. It's held my attention longer than TLOU2 did when I first got it, I'll give it that. Seems like it's a pretty big game too.
By DY_nasty Go To PostAct 1 is tutorial as fuck
I can definitely see this.
Ghost is good. Typically I actively avoid side quests but I don't know - everything just flows together incredibly well. You go from not minding a quick stop to looking back and enjoying the quick detour. And yeah, graphically the game will flatly baffle you at some points. It'll do things you haven't seen since ps3 randomly. Then you'll pull up to the Golden Forest, see the view from a completed shrine, or finish a duel and stop caring. The direction just carries it.
Kinda shocked at how good the story and VA is. It does definitely get a bit repetitive midway through act 2 when you're a leveled up demigod. But the story really drives it from that point so it's all A1 then on.

Played two and a half hours, enjoying it a lot so far.
Wish there was a horse speed between walk and gallop.

I'm more suprised that you still get more stuff in act 2, but considering the enemies are a bit heavy with the armor it makes sense.
Got to Act 2. But still doing shit on island 1.
Fast travel is absolutely worth it here. Island is proper large.

Really looking forward to having a couple of days to just pile time into this, which is a good sign I guess.
