How do you guys feel about prints of famous artworks?
As we all say, I’d love to have an original art piece to hang on the wall, but finding one that satisfies the look you’re going for without being prohibitively expensive is a challenge. Starting to think about buying a high quality Rothko print or something.

Totally fine. Unless you can afford any decent originals from unknowns or lesser known artists but even those are expensive af.

You’re in Tokyo right? If you have cash to burn you can buy something really nice at a local art gallery. I almost bought something at the Whitestone in Ginza last time I was there. There’s no shortage of good local artists out there.
I have a mix throughout the house, some original unknown artists, and some pretty common reproductions. My favourite is a massive Basquiat in my office

I'm in Tokyo but I wouldn't qualify myself as having money to burn. I would always keep my eyes open for work from a local artist but even those, as Reilo said, are often pretty pricey.
I haven't really looked too hard, it's just an idea that's been floating around. I will check out Whitestone and see if there are some other places like it, but the moment I read "Ginza" my wallet starts to shrivel up
Imagine public bathing in America, where the current discourse is focused on never using the center urinal for fear of someone looking at your junk.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostBro absolutely nuked itwtf I didn’t know being an architect was so easy. I wanted to be one when I was younger but I didn’t know it was just painting and removing shit

It's probably because I"m in the field, but I look at these and think, "man the lighting is doing a ton of work here" lol
Whoever can afford that house I’m sure 1.5mil property tax is the equivalent to my $1.
That’s not even a price tag you can say “if I won the lottery I’ll buy it”

For sure, it's just an insane amount of money. My property tax bill is like 9K a year.
