The dream
In the artist’s top-floor studio, the roof was raised four feet and a large skylight was installed.

I love a good Craftsman but $2.7mil?! Bro, these were pre-fab homes of its era. Meant to be cheap and easily developed.

Someone will pay it. All about location. Home prices are frankly insane in all the metros now. Depending on the craftsman it can actually be more solid in the bones than many new builds. The biggest issues with an old is if the electrical/plumbing has been updated properly, where asbestos might still be present and of course foundational issues.
I'm smack in the middle of renovating my own place, and let me tell ya, picking the right shades is like a puzzle that just won't solve itself! 😅
But here's the scoop, buddy - I came across kraftsmann.com, and it's been a real game-changer. They've got some killer options that might just save your sanity. Seriously, check it out when you get a chance. It's not your run-of-the-mill paint site; it's like a treasure trove of colors waiting to be discovered.
Now, onto that artist's studio with the raised roof and a big skylight – that's some next-level stuff, right? Imagine all that natural light pouring in, giving you that open, airy vibe.

It's a fixer-upper
I can’t believe I spent over a week browsing curtains for my living room before finally picking s pair and ordering them. I hate the man I’ve become.
Nothing wrong with getting the right color or aesthetic for your own damn home. On a personal level I'd have to get just the right ones far as fabric, dimensions and how they hang just so that won't be shredded by the gatos.
I should feel relieved really. Tomorrow will be the day that my living room is finally finished off. Been working on it since last year.
Whole room stripped out, walls replastered. New flooring, etc.
Took a lot longer than anticipated due to balancing my time off and the cost of everything needed.
Put the curtain rails up earlier today along with two slat wall panels on each side of the TV.
Tomorrow, carpet is getting fitted and I’m going to pick up the curtains.
Still need a TV cabinet, coffee table and a new couch but all that shit can wait at least a month.

I’m feeling extremely zen now.
Got the carpet fitted this morning, looks great. Just a clean cotton colour. Matches the walls nicely.
Collected my curtains afterwards. Had to get a set for my windows and back door, so I overspent on them a bit and got some super thermal lined ones. Hopefully the rooms stays warmer with them. They’re up now too.
Then I cheaped out and got a coffee table and TV unit from B&M. Only cost £125 for the two. They’re not too bad but I know they won’t last a long time since it’s all chipboard and thin veneer.

Lmao that’s my nightmare … I want more space at 1800 sqft lol

This seems like a massive waste of space. Especially with 3D BIM modeling / Revit and such. They're literally just placing squares on a plan set to figure out furniture placement but doing so at a 1:1 scale.
By reilo Go To PostMy partner worked PR at the architect that design part of their new London and Bay View offices. Seemed pretty neat, but also very pre-covid from what I understood. Imagine that investment goes a long way to them pushing for return from home
Maybe working for do some evil wouldn't be so bad
