By MF Coom Go To PostThis is beautiful but the kitchen seems quite large for the space or is that just me? Regardless I’d still live there in a heart beat lol.
By i can get you a toe Go To PostAll I can think of when looking at those stairs is how bad I'd fall down them
Impressed they got a king up there tho
That's really nice.
It reminded me of this office compound near my work that converted an old iron works building to offices:
They kept some of the cranes as design fixtures in there.

The Palm Springs MCM home is terribly ruined by its interior decoration. What the fuck at those cabinets

Completely misses the point of the original design's intent with the cheap recycled wood aesthetic for the cabinets and floors.
Thanks. Oh man yeah that's something that could be cool as a single piece itself or on one particular section to break up solid wall or whatever but not on cabinets like that.
I'm not sure where or how people enjoy decorating, massively undercooked the man power needed for what I believed were just some minor cosmetic face lifts. Pretty hate the stress the planning the running around but there is a weird satisfaction about it all.
This would have been all outsourced to professionals but my in-laws are tradesmen or have skills and would have been offended if I didn't ask. However I'm now expected to help in all this ( I am super basic DIY dude...
Did my panelling tho which I'm super proud of

It definitely feels more like your home even years after the fact when you get around to changing some interiors to your personal preferences. Whether this is some tile in the bathroom, interior paint or cabinets in the kitchen.

Pretty sure this was the office in some shitty romcom I watched recently

It's a great idea to convert an office from an old metallurgical plant building. The main thing is that it should be comfortable. The designers did a good job so that people wouldn't freeze there and the whole building was heated. I probably would have done the same idea if I had the opportunity. BTW, I have an old abandoned shed in my backyard. I think it's worth contacting Boutique Home Plans so that designers can convert this shed into an office in which I could work, and no one would bother me. Because for the last 2 years, I have been working from home, and I'm greatly distracted by children and various household duties that my wife is engaged in.
Purchased a new mattress from https://www.douglas.ca/en/product/douglas-mattress/ I have to say, this mattress is heavenly - feels like you're sleeping on clouds. Only took 3 business days to arrive and they included a free pillow as well (equally good).
Do yourselves a favor, if you are debating getting a new mattress, do it, your body will thank you for it.

Been sleeping on an Endy one for the last two years. Still not sure if it’s good or I’m just getting old and body is starting to hurt regardless of the mattress. Probably the latter. I like sleeping on it though.
Been working on my living room wall, putting up pieces that I've copped over the years. Most are from artists who I discovered online, still have some ways to go to fill the wall to my liking yet.
that's not even a nice house to begin with. literally the first example if you google "victorian house" lol.
Brumunddal, a small municipality on the northeastern shore of Lake Mjøsa, in Norway, has for most of its history had little to recommend it to the passing visitor. There are no picturesque streets with cafés and boutiques, as there are in the ski resort of Lillehammer, some thirty miles to the north. Industrial buildings, mostly for the lumber industry, occupy the area closest to the lake, and the waterfront is cut off by a highway. The town, which has a population of eleven thousand, was until recently best known to Norwegians for a series of attacks on immigrant residents three decades ago, which led to street clashes between anti-racism protesters and supporters of the far right. Since 2019, however, Brumunddal has achieved a more welcome identity: as the site of Mjøstårnet, the tallest all-timber building in the world.

Really great read. The bit about the wood expanding with humidity to fit and lock into place is sensational.

The spiral-shaped glass tower designed by architecture studio NBBJ for Amazon's second headquarters has been given permission to be built in Arlington, Virginia.
Called The Helix, the striking tower will be one of three office buildings in Arlington County that will make up Amazon's second headquarters, Amazon HQ2.
Arlington's County Board, a five-member governing body, unanimously approved the decision to build the 350-foot (106-metre) spiralling tower, which has been likened to the "poop emoji".
Originally proposed in February 2021, The Helix has passed a lengthy approval process, including various public hearings.
