By Frustrated_me Go To PostI admit the record player is only there for looks, I have a full fledged Sonos system in every room of the house + outdoor terase, the record player barely gets any spins, everything goes through the Sonos app.
Thank you all for the kind words, happy to see other lovers of design.
Never opened this thread before. Just want to say that I'm happy to read that the Crosley is just there for the looks. Continue having a wonderful life.
By Daz Go To PostLol, r/malelivingspace do be like that
I see quite a lot plants these days. Even r/battlestations features plants every now and then. They’ll learn.

Fender is this near you?
North LA suburbs. Calabasas and Thousand Oaks are $$$$$$. Close to LA West side (century city, Brentwood) and has Malibu beach canyon road for da beach. Super mega rich area.
I’m in central OC so it’s close but like not really. In traffic 2.5 hours. No traffic about 40 minutes
Some days I can drive to work in 15mins (5.5miles), other days it takes me 45mins.
Is that close? By literal definition in distance, yes, but in time spent in traffic? No lol

In the country, I would give instructions by time spent driving.
"Alright, get off the Interstate at Exit <x> and take a left. After about ten minutes, take a right at the gas station. Drive for about five minutes and take a left past the church. Another six or seven minutes and you will see a bar on the right. My house is on the left, about a hundred yards further down the road. The white house on ten foot tall concrete blocks with the red car parked underneath. Can't miss it."
Of course, that place is out far enough that it was a fun day trip for my mom and her family when her dad had to go pick up feed for the livestock at the nearest railroad (roughly 40 miles away).

Interesting article about Google's plans for their offices post-COVID.
TBH I'm so glad to see the death of the open office. My old place took that stuff to the max and it just made for a weird atmosphere.

Yo I'm crying
weeeeeeeeeeew the divorce speed-run haha
Just moved into a new place, and I could use suggestions for how to decorate reasonably cheap. For sure looking to spend under 250 or so on a new entertainment center, and maybe get a book case where I can put a turn table and store records.

is this facts?

My place has some cheap prints we bought at a museum and framed, but that also depends if you live near any decent museums.
If you're planning on any other furniture, a floor lamp would probably be good
Ditto on some lamps. Might just be me but I hate those center lights in any room. Got one in my bedroom that I don't turn on unless I absolutely need to.
- Lamp and plants for sure. You don't have much space there so I'd put up some nice floating shelves for a few plants.
- I'd ditch those blinds tbh. That room needs more natural light.
- Hard pass on the leather couch/recliner, too bulky for that space IMO get something smaller but that's just me
