By n8 dogg Go To PostFine by me. Get (at least) one of Jones/Smalling, Rojo, Sanchez, Lingard and Mata off the wage list and that's probably conservatively 600k off the weekly wages (probably way more - Sanchez is supposed to be on 300-400 or something, right? I'm just putting him on 200k and everyone else on 100 because I don't want to believe otherwise…)You'd have to wonder what the market is for a player like Lingard or Jones. They're on very good money and in times when money is tight there may not be any clubs able to afford them. Newcastle potentially I suppose. I was rather positive about the prospect of signing Sancho. But circumstances dictate that it simply may not be possible.
Think Sancho should absolutely be our prime target next season:
- if Axel comes back fine, I'm really happy with our CB options; same with our FBs provided Williams, Laird etc. continue to develop
- if Pogba stays (and stays fit), we have five options for three places in the centre. Could do with a Matic replacement long-term, but maybe that's Garner
What we absolutely need is for Sancho to come in so Greenwood can get more game time up top. Would absolutely not be averse to us bringing someone in like Ighalo again for cover up front. And, again, I'd hope we can give Gomes a contract and keep him around. Would be cheaper (in transfer fees and wages) than someone like Grealish or Maddison by a long way. If we could get Grealish for 40m/50m or so on top of Sancho, given the amount we'll save in wages I'll be fine with that, but I do think Woodward is going to be incredibly concerned about the optics of spending such money post-Covid.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostLampard must be trying to get him to break his consecutive appearance record
Fun lineup
Mount is being run into the ground

Would rather lose them for free just to get their wages off the table than not lose them at all tbh

Apparently Grey had a house party the other night and posted about it on Instagram. The other two must've been there as well. Morons.
Leicester looking a little better here, even game. Didn't realise Chelsea were only a point behind in the league now.
Just looking at Arsenal's line ups recently; wonder why Arteta clearly doesn't fancy Torreira.

Oh. Sure he was on the bench a game or two ago.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostThe lads on r/chelseafc who think Tammy is gonna start alongside Werner are nuts.
I know lol.
Pulisic - Mount/RLC - Ziyech
Werner
is easily your strongest front four
That was a lot of backwards and sideways passes.
Need something more from midfield.
Don't think Kante and Gilmour with Mount in front works right now.

If we somehow manage to get Havertz then I think Mount is the odd man out. Midfield of Kante, Kovacic, and Havertz yum yum yum.
Putting aside any transfer fee, is there any formation where Jorginho makes sense for United at all?
Another terrible performance by Leicester & Chelsea. They've both been really poor since coming back from the break.
