By n8 dogg Go To PostThink it’s weird Chelsea want Havertz over some defenders. Pulisic, Ziyech, Werner, Giroud, Abraham, Loftus-Cheek, Mount, Hudson-Odoi, Barkley, Kante, Jorginho, Gilmour, Kovacic… they’re pretty stacked going forward.I think the appeal is his versatility, goals and sell-on value based on his age. There's definitely outgoings in there as well from the players listed, not to mention the sale of players out on loan.
Need to sort out LB and a CB I think
Chilwell in and I think Frank is happy working with the CBs already on the payroll. But it is an obvious soft spot.
Transfer ban was truly a blessing.
John Bull scum Declan Rice will have a lot of big clubs sniffing around if West Ham go down. Happy enough with Matic for another season tho. Bring in a few more creative midfield options to United instead.

Wow, started watching and cheering for Liverpool because of Milan Jovanovic and even though the title win is extremely anti-climactic, I still can't believe that the curse is finally broken
All things considered, this seems like the least painful way that Liverpool could win a premier league so fair fucks to them and the minority of their fans that I don’t find irritating.
Fucked off that Chelsea won but at least we still have the Europa.

I'm fine with West Ham staying up at this point. They're the only monied up club at that end of the table that is stupid enough to pay a premium for Ross Barkley.
Bournemouth have a number of interesting players including Howe if he's ready to make the jump.

If we’re banned from UCL it’s a wrap.
So why exactly do we want West Ham to go down over everyone Else?
Figured we’d want them to stay around since they’re kind of funny even though they suck

The most impressive thing about Liverpool's league win is the fact they didn't significantly strengthen their squad last summer. Everyone thought that was a mistake at the time.
They had a brilliant league campaign and had fallen short by just a single point. City signed one of the best holding midfiders around in Rodri. To not sign anyone seemed like a stupid decision. Yet here they are, 20 off points ahead of everyone else.

The stadium situation for Hammers is and was just so absurd. I can't imagine Londoners being okay with how that went down.
Got doicare luckeh with injuries to be fair, City would have been closer if Laporte wouldnt have missed so many matches. Quality definitely drops when that front 3 is not playing.

Havertz is a generational type player.

why defend when we will win all matches 5-4

This should be ban-able.
By Cleff Go To PostThe most impressive thing about Liverpool's league win is the fact they didn't significantly strengthen their squad last summer. Everyone thought that was a mistake at the time.Liverpool didn't win the league because they made the decision not to buy anymore players, Liverpool won the league because City got worse due to Laporte, Sané, Aguero & a host of other players getting injured as well as City being ridiculously unlucky in several games such as the Tottenham ones. The only thing that City messed up themselves was not buying a replacement for Kompany.

You swim in the Scrooge McDuck end of the pool, you get no sympathy when an important player goes down. That goes for all of us.
Laporte is a key one, but he's still just one guy who is surrounded by literally hundreds of millions of pounds worth of other defenders. They paid a premium for Stones, Walker and Mendy, and swapped Danilo for Cancelo over the last four summers. Laporte is obviously the best of the lot but he alone was not their downfall. Collectively they've been weak when out of possession and that's before Pep even arrived.
There is definitely an imbalance right now with the quality of attacking talent in the game Vs quality hard nosed defenders though.
They picked the wrong player to replace Fernandinho for me Jeff (plus they've sucked at defending set pieces).
can't help but feel West Haram hate is just nasty ManU propaganda

I've been flip-flopping regarding this for a while. If Havertz is as good as people say, then we should try and get him. Plus, a few of the players probably won't make it or be around for very long.
But we do need balance. We have decent CBs, so if we don't invest in another, we're relying on one of them becoming great next season. LB is definitely an area that needs to be improved upon.
I wonder if Txiki and Co regret not just giving Southampton the money for VVD.
We wouldn’t be having this conversation now. Tonight wouldn’t have happened.
We’d have done a great justice for the footballing world.

By n8 dogg Go To PostLiverpool get 86 points out of 93 and it’s all because City were unluckyLiverpool got an incredibly high points total last year as well but they still lost to City. Liverpool haven't got any better this year it's just City have got worse largely due to injuries.
Is Klopp the best manager right now? If so, who is second and third? Liverpool did incredibly well singing him, what a get in retrospect really. I knew he was good and had success with Dortmund but I didn't think he would be this good with Liverpool.

I mean other teams are still in more competitions than just the league.

I don't think many will agree, but I would wager that Pep and Conte make up the top three.
By batong_doicare Go To PostSo, do we get to see Bielsa in the prem next season or is he fucking off even if Leeds go up?
I do hope so. Seeing him do victory dances on various managers' graves would be amazing.
