By Lunatic Go To PostJust loving that the free game of the day on mlbtv is the Washington v Atlanta
Two teams I fucking despise*
*except in 2019 when Washington** faced Houston (and beat them) in the World Series (because FUCK Houston)
**And I only despise Washington because of MASN's territorial bullshit, blocking games on MLB.TV involving Baltimore*** or Washington despite not being on any cable provider here in Charlotte or really anywhere in North Carolina
***And especially fuck Baltimore, since the Yankees play those fuckers 19 times every goddamn season with the MLB.TV blackout
No asterisks on Atlanta, it's just 24/7 fuck the Atlanta Braves.
I only used to get WGN for Cubs, TBT for Braves, and I forget the channel for Yankees. Still remember the Randy Johnson perfect game.

Really, though, god bless WGN back in the day, because the Cubs' home games got me through many sweltering summer afternoons (Wrigley didn't have lights), and then they had the Bulls' games so I could watch Jordan every time he played. Good times.
TBS, whatever.
Yankees are underwater against the entire division. They're 28-36 within the AL East, putting them at 19-29 against Tampa, Boston, and Toronto (9-7 against Baltimore).
They're 16 games over .500 overall, so they're basically feasting on other divisions.

Has to be leading in the AL Cy Young conversation. He’s been absolutely electric and no one predicted this. Pete Walker our pitching coach works magic.
I will cry if he doesn’t get re-signed in the off season.
Look at this image. The ball is in Sanchez' glove. Out by a fucking mile.
Except that Sanchez sucks, wasn't aggressive, and tried to apply the most nonchalant tag ever.
Ruled out initially, overturned after replay.
By unknown Go To Postfrankman and pac 12's Mets are about to get whooped.
This is what happens, Larry.
So Torres just sailed an easy double play ball a foot over Rizzo's glove to give up 2 more runs. 10-2.
Mets win, of course, because everything about the Yankees right now fucking sucks. (And Syphon willed it.)
Clean house.
Hal, either go all in or sell the team.

Just for the record, the Yankees have scored 47 runs in the past 12 games, losing 9 of them.
The numbers are buoyed by 2 games in which they scored 7 runs, and lost them both.

Went to the game, crowd went nuts on his 3rd home run. Game ending on a Stanton at bat was perfect for that game after the 7th inning.
Crowd was good, outside of a unprovoked fuck Joe Biden chant from the type of people who definitely say keep politics out of sports

Nice to know that at least the Yankees aren't playing bad enough to lose to the Twins.
But it was close, had to come back from down 5-0 to win in extras. (This was a 1 game series, a make up of a game rained out last month.)

By Perfect Blue Go To PostYankees and Red Sox both lost yesterday. BlessJays just on a run Disso. We are just in control on this game.
But now we have a series with the Rays…
Incidentally, I failed to point out earlier that the Yankees were 0-35 when trailing by 4 runs this season, so coming back from down 5-0 was actually huge. This stat has been a thing for a while now. Yankees have blown plenty of 4+ run leads, but had never rallied to win one until today.
By Pac-12 Go To PostWhen you put it like that, it makes it all better. Thanks, ace.Always here to help
Yankees damn near lost to the Orioles again. Thankfully, a rally in the ninth was followed by Chapman not blowing a save.
Season seems over, though. There's no way this team with this management from the front office on down can do shit in the playoffs, should they even make it.

By Pac-12 Go To PostFucking Yankees lost once again to the Orioles. 11-8 on the season series. Just unacceptable.Gary Sanchez is trash. Surely you guys must have a better catcher somewhere.

Torres has been so bad this season you almost forget about Gary.
Almost.
Yankees finally got a win that didn't need to tax the bullpen, 8-0 over the Cleveland soon-to-be-known-as Guardians.
Yankees have 2 more versus Cleveland, then 3 versus Texas. They really ought to win them all, except that's not the Yankees' mojo this year.
Those games are followed by 3 each againt Boston (road), Toronto (road), and Tampa Bay (home), which will for damn sure decide if the Yankees miss the playoffs entirely or have the opportunity to play for the chance to lose in the ALDS.

The Yankees wrapped up the Cleveland series by losing 11-3 on Saturday and then 11-1 today. Good times. At least all 3 in the series were laughers and they didn't need to bother with their leverage pitchers out of the bullpen.
They're now 2 games back in the loss column to both Boston and Toronto. Of course, they still "control their own destiny" since they face both teams in their last 12 games (3 game series vs Texas, at Boston, at Toronto, then versus Tampa Bay), but come on. There's no reason to believe this team will get it together, and they really just need to burn this motherfucker to the ground.

Yankees came back from down 3-0 against the Rangers to win 7-3, with 4 runs in the bottom of the eighth specifically. This is a series they had to sweep and they did. Three series left as mentioned before, @Boston, @Toronto, vs. Tampa. Win or go home.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostGod this is too stressful
If Toronto handles their business against the Yankees, they'll be fine. Lord knows the Yankees will be lucky to win the Boston or Tampa series, let alone both of them.
