By Koko Go To PostI have never liked baseball anyway…Your Rockies will get a good pick, it's all good.
0-0 game going into the seventh.
Yankees scored 1 in the seventh, Royals scored 1.
Yankees scored 1 in the eighth, same for KC.
1 and 1 and the ninth.
2 and 2 in the tenth.
Yankees scored 3 in the 11th, for the love of god, finish this off.
edit: apparently, this counts as 4 blown saves, and no team has ever blown 5.
And the Yankees SP (Heaney) just gave those 3 runs back on a homer, plus another one previously.

Adam, come get your boy
Dude was somehow still in there for the 5th inning, didn't give up a home run. WTF? Does he not see the bigger picture? The record books were right there, waiting for a new name to engrave.

7-4 White Sox entering the top of the 9th....

Was joking, of course, but the odds are stacked against dude.
Four pitchers have thrown a no-hitter in their first major league start; two others have done it in their second major league starts.[16]
Bumpus Jones of the Cincinnati Reds threw a no-hitter on October 15, 1892 in his first major league game. Jones pitched only eight games in the big leagues, finishing with a career win/loss record of 2–4 and a career earned run average of 7.99.
Ted Breitenstein pitched a no-hitter in his first major league start on October 4, 1891; however, it was not his first major league game.[17] He later threw a second no-hitter on April 22, 1898.
On May 6, 1953, Bobo Holloman pitched a no-hitter for the St. Louis Browns in his first major league start (also not his first major league game). This game would prove to be one of only three major league wins that Holloman achieved, against seven losses, all in 1953. Bill Veeck, then-owner of the Browns, in his autobiography described the 27 outs of Holloman's no-hitter as consisting of hard-hit ground balls, screaming line drives, and deep fly balls.
On August 14, 2021, Tyler Gilbert of the Arizona Diamondbacks pitched a no-hitter against the San Diego Padres in his first major league start and fourth appearance. His first major league game came just 11 days before his no-hitter.

Ted Breitenstein at least had a long MLB career, going 160-170 with a 4.04 career ERA. And after his MLB career was over, he still played 10 more seasons of minor league ball, 8 of them for Kibner's New Orleans Pelicans.

Yankees just swept an epic 1 game series over Adam's Angels.
If Adam would change his name to Charlie, perhaps things could be different.

Third straight and still out of a wild card spot. The AL East is just way too good of a division, fuck this
Yankees were halfway towards having another meltdown but decided not to follow through with it.
Loaisiga just struck out the side to get out of a bases loaded, nobody out jam in the top of the 7th in game 1 of today's double header against Boston. With this win, Yankees are just one game behind Boston in the wild card race. (5 back of Tampa for the division.)

Yankees took the night cap to sweep the double and draw even with Boston. It won't mean a thing if they can't at least split the final 2 games of the series.
Edit: Oh, despite having a double header, this is only a 3 game series, then it's 4 with rodeo.

M's are playing some pretty inspired baseball as of late.
If we continue, the series against Boston in September could be super interesting.
I doubt we can keep it up but whatever

Yankees @ Athletics. Yankees went up 6-0, then blew the entire lead. Tyler Wade stole 2nd in the ninth and took third on a bad throw, and then came home to take the lead on single.
Chapman came in for the close (dear sweet baby jesus...) and actually got it done.
12 game winning streak. For the wild card, +3 over Boston, +5.5 over Oakland, +6 over Seattle, and +8.5 over Toronto. They remain 4 back of Tampa in the division.

13 games. Still not gaining ground on Tampa because them fuckers keep winning, too, but whatever. The Yankees are at least looking good for having the opportunity to have their souls crushed in a (bullshit) play-in wild card game.
First 13 game win streak for the Yankees in 60 years. Pac being alive for both of those achievements
By blackace Go To PostWe are riding a 1 game winning-streak!
By Lunatic Go To PostThis kid Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is insane. Every time I watch him he hits bombs.
In that case, do PB a solid and watch him more often.
By Pac-12 Go To PostIn that case, do PB a solid and watch him more often.I have been watching Toronto a lot recently. I rep them hard m8. In my youth I was a former NT player and starting 2B for my country as it was my main sport after tennis. 2nd or 1st batter because I could always get on base but never had the power to get HRs.
By Pac-12 Go To PostWhy is your tag not #WarningTrackPower😂 Got too much into footy during my uni years so gave up my baseball life. Still fun to go to beer league matches and destroy though I try not to take too much advantage of playing against my lessors.
By Lunatic Go To PostThis kid Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is insane. Every time I watch him he hits bombs. The lad’s breakout season for sure.
We are a long shot for the playoffs… need to go something silly like 25-10 down the stretch to have a chance. Awful stretch in August sent us back.
I am personally rooting for the Red Sox to go 0 for September, so there's a chance Toronto can sneak in (if they make up 3 on Oakland).
4-1 in the 9th, Yankees leading, Chapman is pitching for the first time in a week.
Pray for me. Pray for Syphon.
