Yesterday, Boone put Aaron Hicks' .160 hitting ass in 6th in the batting order. Today, against Glasnow, he moved him back up to 3rd. Muh'fucker is hitting .070 against right-handers, but sure, let him hit third. Jesus fucking Christ. He's a switch hitter, so batting left against a rightie ought to be an advantage, but nope. Hey, Aaron, maybe just stay on the right side, because the left ain't working.
A lot of Yankees aren't hitting right now, especially with runners on base, but fucking hell, Hicks hasn't hit in years, but Boone will continue batting him third, or even leadoff when LeMahieu has the day off (as he did earlier in the week).
And let's not mention how Stanton can't layoff sliders way out of the zone.

It's true.
Rays got 3 runs off Cole, but only 2 were earned, and I'd say only really 1. And then we can blame that last one on Boone.
The first 2 were because fucking Aaron Hicks made mistakes two batters in a row. With a man on first (reached on a grounder that made it through the shift), there was a pop-up to center, Hicks got a bad read and couldn't make the catch, but the runner on first was frozen since he expected it to be an easy out. After Hicks didn't catch it, the guy on first had to sprint to second. If Hicks had handled the ball cleanly, it's still an easy force. Instead, Hicks fumbled the ball twice and the throw was late. So now we have a man on first and second.
Next batter, another fly to center. It's not catchable but Hicks overruns it, he's charged with an error, the runner on second scores and the runner on first gets to third. Cole strikes out the next guy, but a long pop to left field allows the man on third to tag up easily and score. 2 runs, both attributable to Hicks fucking up.
The third run off Cole was when Boone sent him back out for the 7th when he already had 99 pitches on his arm entering the inning. He struck out the first batter, but the next one singled and the next doubled, plating another run, after which Cole was taken out.
Regardless, the Yankees had just 3 hits on the day, and only 11 hits for the 3 game series.

I mean, your track record speaks for itself, good sir. But I'll give you this one, even though the Yankees offense didn't really do shit once again.
Bases loaded in the 8th, no one out. Yes, they plated 2 runs, but not on hits (wild pitch and a walk). Jesus Christ.
But Taillon pitched well in the starting role (no decision), and the bullpen once again was superb. But the Yankees need to fucking hit, particularly when there are people on base and in scoring position.
