Ted Cruz tweeted “Black Lives Matter”. Guess the reason why:
A) Someone has hacked into his account
B) He was tweeting the autopsy report that said George Floyd died of asphyxiation
C) A black people officer was killed in a protest
D) The full tweet was “Black Lives Matter. White Lives Matter. All Lives Matter”
E) He was retweeting a pro-second amendment tweet which had a picture of a dozen black guns lined up in a row

im guessing just charging all officers involved with the murder would be a good start in terms of goals
By Pac-12 Go To Postthat's a nice twitter take but it's kind of crap. The reason why britain, and indeed most of europe, feel they're less racist than the US is much more down to population; europe is still much, much whiter than the US which means that racist events like cops murdering black people happen much much less. The rate of racism or racists might be the same adjusted for population, but it's always going to seem like less of an issue when you don't have stories in the news
By Xpike Go To Postim guessing just charging all officers involved with the murder would be a good start in terms of goalsWouldn't be the first time they have charged officers, convictions tho... that would be nice

So what you're saying is Europe is just as racist, there's just less people to target.
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – Denver Broncos coach Vic Fangio called George Floyd's death a "societal issue that we all have to join in to correct" but said he doesn't see discrimination or racism as problems overall in the NFL.

“You can’t just charge him anyway because what happened was tragic,” Obama said, adding that he had “complete confidence and [stands] fully behind the Justice Department on the decision that was made.”
Obama urged the crowd not to let the Ferguson report make them hostile toward police officers around the country. “I don’t think that what happened in Ferguson was typical,” he said. Most police officers, he said, “have a really hard and dangerous job, and they do it well … I strongly believe that.”

Are you suggesting they don't?
John was soooooooooooooo good today, have to protect that guy at all costs. Nothing changes the emotional rollercoster or brings back George (or the countless others) but it feels like we're being heard somewhat and I dont think it will stop until they arrest those policemen.
Accountant called me talking smoke today, need to ease up on the donations so thought how else could help. So I thought considering the showing the mass showing corporations showing in the UK on where they stand on the matter (and this is more of a conversation starter rather than me thinking they actually care) people have been saying banks have been poor, very few statements on where they stand, very little action (I'm aware of) so emailed all the HR and D&I people and pressured them, quite shocked at the response I got but I was able to show them that people are talking about them and wondering why they havent made a statement.
I just hope this all means something going forward. Stay safe guys and keep it up until they arrest those policemen.

We resulted to be racist against other white people just so we don't miss out.
Yeah, holding this singular group of officers responsible for their abhorrent actions is nice but will not make a true long term change. More needs to be done and there needs be a focus on it. Whether it is the removal of qualified immunity, defunding police, making it so you have to have a license to enforce law, etc. There has to be some kind of national change.
And, hell, even what I listed above only addresses one of the symptoms of deeper structural flaws in the US. There still exists slave labor in the form of prisons. The rich still push through policies and enforcement of said policies to help them keep getting richer and more powerful at the expense of the more vulnerable.
Fixing the justice system is going to take a hell of a lot more than correcting police behavior. And even fixing the justice system isn't enough.
Regardless, there need to be some clear goals that are pushed for that will actually make a positive difference in every residents eyes.

Military got its own set of issues but they're loyal to the constitution before the office of the president. Being used for a photo op is fucked.
