NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports the league and NFLPA have reached agreement on a voluntary offseason program for 2020.So I forgot the new NFL actually opened but due to al the COVID-19 stuff all camps were canceled. The NFL Draft was pushed back and is now a virtual draft a al Fantasy Football and starts April 26th at 8 PM (today). It's funny because the actual process isn't the issue; it's all the GMs/scouts communicating to each the and relaying picks to the NFL that gets wonky. Amazingly, the NFL plans to starting the season on-time but it's not up to them in reality; depends on how the country does in June/July. Remember that the NFL officially expanded the postseason to 14 teams for the 2020-21 season, so that's another thing they have to schedule.
Teams will host "virtual" offseason programs starting next Monday. The OTAs will last three weeks and can't include any on-field work. This had been the expected outcome after the NFL suspended OTAs indefinitely. There's still no timeline for when team facilities will be reopened.
ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports, "The NFL still plans to release 2020 schedule by May 9, based on a full season."
Mortensen added, "Adjustments to the schedule will be made, as and if necessary, the sources said. Contingencies remain in discussion." It sounds like the NFL won't be announcing a delay to the season anytime soon. Of course, it remains to be seen if everything will actually be on schedule. This surely won't be the last news regarding the NFL's 2020 start date.

By Dark PhaZe Go To Postis this real lifeIs this just fantasy?
FINALLY 17 minutes later Cincy on the clock. I've had 16 man fantasy football drafts that would be in the 3rd round by then.
So the TV networks ask the teams not to put the pick in right away so all these dicks can talk about the same shit they've talked about for the last 3 months right?
By KP Go To PostSo the TV networks ask the teams not to put the pick in right away so all these dicks can talk about the same shit they've talked about for the last 3 months right?Yep, ESPN and NFL Network collaborating on this. However, they also said any glitch that happens they'll stop and halt the draft.
By inky Go To PostGee I wonder who the Bengals will pick…"Cincy picks ... Harrison Burrows, Midfielder from England" ... wait, GODDAMN COMPUTERS!!!"
Wow. totally unexpected pick with Burrow at #1.
Now time for Washington to break the draft and take Tua LOL

please let it happen, QB is everything
We'll take Chase Young though, which is fine
Would be such a "EFF YOU" to Dwyane Haskins, who played behind zero line, a coach who hated him (Gruden) and an organizational philosophy that was so dysfunctional it wasn't funny. You're almost ending Haskins' career at that point; Rosen has yet to recover and probably will be with his 3rd organization soon.
Young selected. Now if no one trades with Detroit something may happen with the Giants at #4.
By DY_nasty Go To Postis haskins even that goodYes. It was widely known he'd need to sit the first year, stunned he actually played. He did get better as the year went along.
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostI don't think I can take a CB that high tbh, particularly with some of the other talent available.not in 2020
but detroit gonna detroit
Giants might take until the final minute because they are trying to trade down... Can't even follow Twitter because no one leaking picks and I've already seen on a few forums open bounties to 'hack' the NFL Draft process.
I'm a little surprised they picked Thomas over Jedrick Willis and Trsitan Wirfs. He has the highest floor of the tackles but he had red flags about his desire and ability in the run game. But he's a great pass blocker and they needed someone to protect Daniel Jones from himself.
Giants selected Georgia OT Andrew Thomas with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Thomas (6’5/315) started all three seasons in his time at Georgia, garnering All-American honors as a true freshmen at right tackle before taking home back-to-back first-team All-SEC privileges in his final two years after moving to left tackle as a sophomore. Pro Football Focus' No. 3 offensive tackle among 249 qualifiers last year, Thomas remains very technical in pass protection, allowing five sacks on 1,021 pass-blocking snaps across 41 career games, all the while showcasing the nastiness to excel in run-blocking as early as Week 1. The 21-year-old profiles as an opening day starter and potential jack-of-all-trades Pro Bowler for years to come.
I don't know anything about college football, so someone just please throw a wrench into this thing already...
If Miami passes on Tua they deserve no success for the next 10 years. Herbert is nowhere as talented as Tua, the only issue is his durability and in an era where you can't hit NFL QBs, that's not a issue. Take Tua and the wins, Miami.
Chargers now... the coach really loves Tyrod Taylor (?) so they may pass on QB here and take an O lineman.... Hell, they might take a WR here lol.
Went with Herbert. It's a solid pick but he needs to get better with his accuracy and ability under pressure. There was some Jared Goff to him that he needs to learn how to get rid of, but at least he should be able to read defenses.

By domino Go To PostPanthers lucked outsan diego and miami saved us tbh
By blackace Go To PostWhy would you draft a Duck QB like ever? There used to be that kind of thinking about QBs that played in gimmicky college offenses and people automatically skipped over Pat Mahomes because of it... again, if you have a system you can tailor around your QB and the guy has the talent, things can work out.
