By Cleff Go To PostI feel like governments' insistence that the virus is super dangerous to everyone is going to cause a lot of issues as countries try to move out of lockdown. Everything we know so far points to an infinitesimal danger for basically anyone under 50 & healthy, and the failure to make this point clear seems to be leading to rampant paranoia and fear. Maybe it made sense at the beginning of the lockdown to help enforce conformity, but pretty much everyone is on board now an they don't need to maintain the charade anymore.
Yup, although Newcastle should be looking at this as a perfect opportunity for project #BruceOut without having to pay him off.
Stock up on the fucking cans lads.

Yeah I really don't like PSG but who else could honestly make a claim to the title in France? It would have been better to just nullify the season and only hand out European tickets based on final standings. But it's also not like any other club was still a threat to them.
Is it legally workable to make public gatherings a more serious offense for a period of say, a week, to prevent what he's talking about?
At this point I'd take the asterisk.

ok you can stop the virus now, dean.
Doubt it, but it'd have to be taken into consideration surely.
Would hope it'd happen in a small enough number that it could be policed, and the vast majority would stay at home, but can also quite easily see it growing into tens of thousands of people acting like a bunch of idiots.
Give me a title awarded through a statement on twitter, empty streets around Anfield, and a parade in October.

I have to say I really feel for the Liverpool lads. So many years of waiting and then these are the circumstances under which you're going to win (?) a title. No celebration, no last game to make things official etc. etc. No club deserves that, but considering how long it's been and how incredible this season has been going for Liverpool it's just extra sad for everyone involved. In the grand scheme of things going on right now it might be a minor thing, but it sucks.
that's how it felt to win our first CL title on the back of Heysel, Hitcher.
it sucks, doesn't it? And it will never feel right.

Liverpool can wait
By Xpike Go To Postjust wall off the city of Liverpool and don't allow anyone in or out
easy
Flatten the curve
I just think that Liverpool should be allowed to win the title but they should not be allowed to celebrate it either publicly or privately. Any attempt to do so should be met with extreme state-authorised force.
i say allow liverpool to go against one of atletico madrid, barcelona, real madrid, psg or bayern in a 1 tie knockout match in a neutral location in the middle of the pacific ocean, and if they win they get the PL, if they lose they get relegated
I'm sure they can sue too or get a portion of that money since they played a big chunk of the campaign

The TV stations have already paid for that portion. This is just the outstanding portion of games not played / shown.
By Yurt Lockhart Go To Postbrilliant, let's get their best players.
You know it.
The public health risk when thousands of people gather to celebrate the title is good enough reason to delay the season end for a year imo.
But then we may have the virus back next year so who knows.

I too was going to make an Emptihad joke (specifically about piping in crowd noises) but then remembered all these games are being played in the midlands.
