As it's almost the end of the world, is anyone up for a re-watch along series (as I haven't seen it since it stopped airing)?
Thinking of doing the first episode later and keeping the pace of one per day.

"This' America, man"
Strong opening, already feeling the tension betwen McNulty and everyone else.
D'Angelo feeling remorse and left out as Stringer Bell got him by the throat.
And forgot about little Michael B Jordan being in the show.
Tune in tomorrow for another viewing.

I always thought it was kind of slow with the buildup of the first episode, but that end with the dicegame yeah. You just knew that you were in for a ride.
Episode 3 is where it gets real though and never lets go.

Episode 2
D'angelo just signed his death wish, though he knows about the trickle down McDonald's economy.
McNulty has nothing in his life but his career.
He's living in a dump, drinks whisky and wears horrible boxers, even for 2002.
More to follow.

Makes me less worried about my next phone upgrade not having a headphone jack :)
If I'm understanding how the tech works, the earbud case carries charge? So If I charge the case to the max, I can disconnect the USB and when my buds need charging, I can just place them in the case for juice?

Episode 3
'The queen ain’t no bitch. She got all the moves'.
Of course they set up the street game with a chess analogy. Clever.
D'Angelo's character is further building and he's going for that sweet sweet remorse buy.
Kima is the real leader of that task force but nice to see Lester bringing his a-game to the table.
And Omar is introduced and I'm now just waiting for that 'Omar's coming yo!'
Next one tomorrow.

One of the best, if not the best pilot episode ever. Damn near perfectly encapsulates all the major characters.

Episode 4
Forgot the subtle humour and the way they do slow cuts in this show.
That desk move and the infamous 'fuck' homicide scene 😂😂
Anyway, really setting the scene now with multiple subplots. Can't wait for episode 5.

All bout dem numbers.
Pagers are cracked but the money keeps on rolling in even though there might be a snitch somewhere (blablurn??).
D'angelo trying to show off with his gf and earn real respect outside of the game.
Omar is in trouble (or his homies are).
More to follow.

D'angelo still out there trying to impress while the surveillance game is paying off but Major Rawls is trying to stop it by being being a dick.
Tune in for more tomorrow.

Gotta come correct.
By EldritchTrapStar Go To PostThat opening is strong af. Incredible really.
I once asked David Simon about the inspiration for that opening Snot Boogie scene and he said it came from being embedded on a homicide drive along and one of the perps literally brought that up,
Damn, got hooked now, did three episodes today. Just need to follow that money trail one more time..

The best part of season 2 is how they're led onto the dock guys by one of the upper echelon cops getting a bug up his ass about a church window.
Didn’t like the second season as I disliked all the dock characters. I always skip it. Maybe that will change on second viewing.
Season 4 is the best season of TV ever.

These HD remasters though, pretty great.
I dunno why I didn't like S4 as much as the other 3. I know I'm wrong though
maybe I got too attached to Stringer Bell v McNutty
