To be fair Götze hasnt lived up to the hype yet. Dortmund got 40m out of the deal and we only got a semi good player who only shows up every 2 months. Yes, he scored the winning WC goal but that didnt help us at all. His performance against Porto this week was the first good performance in ages. His performance during the first year at Bayern wasn't great either. I remember when Götze was a Messi-esque player with great dribbling skills and everything. Where is that? :(

I really have high hopes for him. There seem to be very few players around, especially as young as he is, that can completely control and dictate the tempo of the game.
He was exceptional against England at the world cup, and I think it is no surprise that he was behind everything good and set the basis for the highest pass completion rate ever recorded at the world cup. We also looked a completely different team without him against Costa Rica.
I really would love him to go to Bayern or Barca in the next couple of years. Or Juve of course if they can afford him.
